the big egg food cart eschews the more populated downtownportlandpods to serve up breakfast on the go from the congregation at mississippi marketplace.
the giant, yolk colored cart shines brightly as it reflects the sunlight. and inside? well, inside is where the magic happens. the big egg is basically one big shrine to the most important meal of the deal, with — surprise, surprise — the humble egg as the chief deity.

this sandwich was epic, and made even more epic because befri was here to enjoy one with me. west coast winos be representin' inportlandthis weekend, and we started with famous food cart the big egg. brioche bread, pumpkin butter (we love pumpkin!), bleu cheese, arugula, bacon and egg. like i said, epic.

classy food on wheels. the big egg can compete with the best of them when it comes to breakfast. boy was i skeptical when my daughter-in-law suggested going to a breakfast food cart--and boy was she right on (good pick, sarah)! my portlander of two perfectly prepared fried eggs over easy on delicious grand central brioche with stone ground mustard, gorgonzola, and chives was outrageously good. if i lived inportlandi'd be there at least one morning a week.
