rude service. food delicious, wine delicious, service shocking!!!
as a group of local business women who dine out weekly we were initially impressed with the battlefield rest. our food was lovely however ournightwas abruptly brought to an end when we were agressively asked if we wanted anything else. one of our group asked when the restaurant closed and in a loud, sarcastic tone the reply came - "now!" which was 10.15pm. the bill was duly dumped on the table without a word. we left immediately and no member of staff as much as looked in our direction!!! needless to say we didn't leave a tip and we wont be back.
