displeased i am not. nice atmosphere, good service, andgreatfood. i started with a half dozen oysters, loose cannon ipa, and followed with a lobster roll and another loose cannon. the oysters are fresh. mine were grand pearl and blue point. the lobster roll was rich, sweet, and decadent. a lightly toasted roll, buttered, and filled with lobster. a side of emulsified butter with a touch of cream was on the side. how soon until my next meal?

this was our first night out in fells point! the atmosphere and bar scene was fun and vibrant. we got a recommendation to check out thames. there was a 45 minute wait so we opted to sit at the bar. the waitress was so cool. we started out with the maryland crab soup w/short rib, an order of fried oysters, and a few raw oysters on s half shell. i chose some briny and sweet selections from california and maryland. we chose the whole sea bass over collard greens for our entree. it was all delicious! i’ll highly recommend this place to others. it was agreatatmosphere.

one of the best meals we've had and the fried fish was perfectly cooked and that's not as easy as it sounds. i had the swordfish and the steak was a little small but the lobster grits were amazing.greatexperience and love the place.

such agreatexperience here. first of all, both the location and the decor set a charming tone right off the bat. the service is incredibly prompt, and the food is just off the charts. my husband and i started with crab claws from the raw bar, then had the lobster mac & cheese for an appetizer -- holy wow on both. for the entrée, my husband ordered the cod filet, and i ordered the crab cake. both were absolutely fantastic. i have nothing negative to say whatsoever, and would absolutely recommend to anyone.

very disappointing. my husband and i shared 3 shrimp that looked beautiful, they had no taste, picked herring that was good, and oysters on the half shell that were watery. i had crab cakes that were nothing special, you could have gotten from the local food truck. had our server stopped to ask how things were, i would have had to be honest and tell her. for a $100plus dinner, we expected more and was very disappointed. we live in ohio and visit baltimore every once in a while forgreatseafood.

lively an fun. visiting from la and didn't have a reservation so we waited for seats to open up at the bar. the bartenders weregreatand helped move people around so we could sit. we had the mussels, oysters on the half shell, a lobster roll and chowder. everything was really delicious and if i wasn't stuffed i would have ordered more mussels. sitting at the bar we talked with the people around us and watched the stanley cup on tv. the people were so much fun and the kings won. perfect evening out.

true gem. lived up to the othergreatreviews. this place is a true gem. service was exceptional, the food was fantastic and fresh. the place has a clean and vibrant feel with that old town fells point feel. lobster roll sandwich was awesome, the crab cake sandwich was good but could have had a little more lump crab. the oysters were fantastic , they have an amazing selection of oysters from various regions and tasted great. the beer was good, the wait staff was attentive, polite and knowledgable. the food came out with a nice presentation as we dove into the oysters and followed by the entrees. highly recommend, especially for lunch (must be seated by 2:00pm).

first timer. while wondering around fells on a weekday mid afternoon in december, i was directed here by a stranger. if i knew her, i would offer my sincere thanks.

it was cold and windy out, i walked in, was met warmly by hostess and directed to a small table in the corner. good. knowledgeable waiter soon showed up withgreatsuggestions, i ordered a ginny lynn to drink - and the lobster roll with the baked hubbard squash side.

everything was fresh, well presented and tasted great. the drink was potent made with freshly squeezed grapefruit juice, it took the edge off my otherwise inauspicious day.
the lobster roll, while on the small side was quite filling. the bread was crisply toasted, the butter drawn. baked hubbard squash was an excellent and unexpected side.
i have already recommended thames st to several friends

make reservations or be prepared to wait.greatoyster selection and knowledgable staff. we only had sandwiches for our dinner entrees - the clam roll, and lobster roll. small portions, but very tasty. the cucumber salad side dish was excellent.

if i could love it, i would.. fantastic! everything from the raw bar was excellent! had about a dozen and half raw oysters (they had 15 different kinds). they were all shucked expertly, no shell and loads of juice in each. and the crabcake sandwich was reallygreatas well. so happy that we stopped here for lunch before leaving baltimore.

we will definitely be returning to the thames street oyster house.

awesome!!!. the list of oysters to choose from is very impressive. they also provide a description of how each oyster tastes and that was fun as well. the descriptions were spot on to the oyster's flavor.

our group had the lobster roll, crabcake sandwich and oyster po-boy. all of the sandwiches weregreatwith the nod going to the lobster. i am not a big lobster fan and i thought it was great.

the service was top notch as well. we liked it so much that we went twice while in town. we don't normally do that as we like to try different places.

simple is good; complex is bad. superlative crab cakes, good/moderately priced wine list. oysters exceptionally fresh andgreatselection. however shucker got shell pieces in most oysters - big no-no. apps were less successful. scallop "ceviche" was actually boiled and the scallops were hard and dry. had to send these back to kitchen. replaced with grilled octopus, actually a small tower of cheese, peppers, some other ingredients, with a few pieces of octopus hiding in the pile. not terrible, but we felt cheese didn't go well with octopus. more octopus in this dish please! this place excels with simply prepared, fresh seafood. but it fails when the chef gets too inventive. friendly, knowledgeable service.

awesome!. i've been here twice now and thoroughly impressed both times. the selection of oysters is phenomenal and the prices are reasonable. they're the only place around that carries west-coast kumamoto oysters, or the only one i've found so far. the entrees aregreat- i had the monkfish - excellent. service is great. just an overallgreatexperience. we will be back

blue moon. you know how just once in a blue moon, you go out to eat and you order food that is
so amazing that you want to make each mouthful last, close your eyes and moan (inwardly)
well, try this place.
we sat outside on a beautiful sunday, ordered from the oyster bar, had the octopus appetizer, the
shrimo ceviche and the mahi sandwich. the waitress was so helpful, taking time to describe the merits of
each oyster from the extensive selection.
planning on going back asap. you can throw away hard-earned money on many places in baltimore.
this isgreatvalue, fantastic food and service and a mouth-watering experience.

my favorite seafood place in town!. i wish i could say i love it, not just like it. this place is great. as a native new englander i have to say that the lobster roll is excellent, and matches up, and beats, many lobster rolls from back home.

the fish and chips weregreattoo. the fish was light and flaky.

go try them out if you've never been!!!!
