this was our first night out in fells point! the atmosphere and bar scene was fun and vibrant. we got a recommendation to check out thames. there was a 45 minute wait so we opted to sit at the bar. the waitress was so cool. we started out with the marylandcrabsoup w/short rib, an order of fried oysters, and a few raw oysters on s half shell. i chose some briny and sweet selections from california and maryland. we chose the whole sea bass over collard greens for our entree. it was all delicious! i’ll highly recommend this place to others. it was a great atmosphere.

known as one of the best restaurants in baltimore, thames street oyster house prides itself as being the restaurant for fresh seafood. they serve many of their fresh catches fresh, a la carte, and raw. we had some fresh lobster, oysters, and crab, thecrabmy most favorite. we also had some roasted onions with garlic, which was a perfect pair for the raw seafood. the fried calamari was also delicious, the calamari light on the oil. overall, the food was fresh and the service was good.

such a great experience here. first of all, both the location and the decor set a charming tone right off the bat. the service is incredibly prompt, and the food is just off the charts. my husband and i started withcrabclaws from the raw bar, then had the lobster mac & cheese for an appetizer -- holy wow on both. for the entrée, my husband ordered the cod filet, and i ordered thecrabcake. both were absolutely fantastic. i have nothing negative to say whatsoever, and would absolutely recommend to anyone.

very disappointing. my husband and i shared 3 shrimp that looked beautiful, they had no taste, picked herring that was good, and oysters on the half shell that were watery. i hadcrabcakes that were nothing special, you could have gotten from the local food truck. had our server stopped to ask how things were, i would have had to be honest and tell her. for a $100plus dinner, we expected more and was very disappointed. we live in ohio and visit baltimore every once in a while for great seafood.

the bluecrabis nothing short of that amazing flavor that you fell in love with, and thiscrabcake showcases it well. but as we went through the cake, the flavor profile sort of flatlined, and in some places, the breading overpowered the crab. less breading and a bit more spice would definitely help, even if it would mean a smallercrabcake. nitpicking aside, you can't beat the flavor of blue crab, which we'll take any way we can get it. so if you're in the area and can manage to get a table, give thame st'scrabcake a try!

true gem. lived up to the other great reviews. this place is a true gem. service was exceptional, the food was fantastic and fresh. the place has a clean and vibrant feel with that old town fells point feel. lobster roll sandwich was awesome, thecrabcake sandwich was good but could have had a little more lump crab. the oysters were fantastic , they have an amazing selection of oysters from various regions and tasted great. the beer was good, the wait staff was attentive, polite and knowledgable. the food came out with a nice presentation as we dove into the oysters and followed by the entrees. highly recommend, especially for lunch (must be seated by 2:00pm).

simple is good; complex is bad. superlativecrabcakes, good/moderately priced wine list. oysters exceptionally fresh and great selection. however shucker got shell pieces in most oysters - big no-no. apps were less successful. scallop "ceviche" was actually boiled and the scallops were hard and dry. had to send these back to kitchen. replaced with grilled octopus, actually a small tower of cheese, peppers, some other ingredients, with a few pieces of octopus hiding in the pile. not terrible, but we felt cheese didn't go well with octopus. more octopus in this dish please! this place excels with simply prepared, fresh seafood. but it fails when the chef gets too inventive. friendly, knowledgeable service.

great drinks and food. i've gone several times now and always had a nice experience. my friends and i always sit at the bar and we never get thirsty because the bartenders are on top of it...it is very important to keep an eye on your customers. we always order several dishes and share. so far we've had the lobster roll, lobster salad, fish n chips, raw oysters and mdcrabsoup. though i'd prefer morecrabin the soup versus short rib...it was good. everything we had was great.

it is one of my favorite places to stop in down in fells.

thames street oyster house. amazing incredible seafood. bar is loud but patio and second floor are quiet. and cozy. ate on second floor first night and then patio two days later. the food, service, decor and staff were all top drawer. lobster roll is the go to dish. we saw so many things we liked that we cut up the lobster roll for an app and ordered two entrees. we had the scallops and acrabcake. both were perfect. prices were fair and cheap compared to the seafood places i know in philly and ny. this will be my go to place in baltimore.
