new thaifoodconverts. thai spice would convert the most rabid of thaifoodhaters to lovers. other reviewers have stated that the restaurant is clean, thefoodis clean and they are absolutely right. thefoodis exceptionally good - well balanced spices whether mild or hot, fresh ingredients, made to order and presented very well. the serving staff was wonderful to us, guiding a couple of adventurous old 4arts through the menu and helping us decide what we would like after a few quick questions. our late lunch there was a delightful experience. we've be singing its praises to everyone we meet.

this is the bestfoodever!! my husband and i sometimes go twice a week! the only complaint we have is recently we were there on a sunday and had a terrible waitress. absolutely terrible. we had never experienced this here.

first of all, i love curry and that's why we picked this place. it is unassuming from the street, but the atmosphere inside is nice. completely packed house, lots of take out orders, many families. prices were very reasonable, especially the wine. you can bring your own or order bottles at state minimum with just a $3 corking fee either way. also, for the kids, they have bubble tea and bubble smoothies which are very popular. the service was great,foodwas delicious, and overall dining experience was fantastic. will definitely be back.

this place sucks. thefoodquality is so inconsistent. only order from here out of convenience, and not often.  food has no taste thats good. it is just sloppy slop. ordered tonight, no flavor,and my eggroll wraps were all unwrapped in the container(carryout) sauce was old and crusty.  i keep trying, but this place continues to dissapoint. now they supposedly have a new menu. good luck its also bad.  i would say to them: please think about the flavor and quality. clean it up. its so messy. and, make it taste like thaifoodplease.  i wont be back.

takeout is not something this restaurant does well. called at 6:53pm, was placed on hold for almost 5 minutes. placed my order and was told at 7:00pm it would be 25-30 minutes. at 7:53pm my order was ready and paid for. one item, taro frozen shake with bubbles was missing bubbles.

i'm sure thefoodis fantastic but service, customer service and accuracy need improvement.

be prepared for a long wait. thefoodis great and the staff is very helpful and friendly. i ordered takeout on a weekend night and thefoodwasn't ready by the time we were told it would be, but the hostess was extremely apologetic and offered water and tea while we waited.

tried this place because of the good reviews and was not pleased. the summer rolls were fine but the entrees were terrible. we had the pik king and the masaman and both were drenched in coconut milk. the pik king had raw chives and giant pieces of ginger (not even galangal) and the meat was undercooked with no flavor. i didnt taste any curry or pik king chili paste at all. the masaman was even worse... had all the flaws of the previous dish and everything had no flavor except a disgusting rotten seafood flavor.

overall thefoodwe had was pretty bad and this is not even real thai. although they do serve chinese and vietnamese dishes, i doubt they are any better...

bottom line if you're looking for good thai food, go somewhere else.

our "go-to" thai restaurant. thai spice has consistently goodfoodwith plenty of veg and vegan options. the menu is big enough where anyone could find something they like, even more typical chinese dishes. with all the fresh vegetables, i never feel bloated and guilty after dining here.

what a gem! thefoodis fresh and delicious. love the jasmine milk bubble tea. they have a lot of interesting other flavors too. i make the thirty minute drive to eat here pretty often, definitely worth it.

thefoodis amazing. summer rolls, tom yum soup and celery tofu... if the obnoxious group of women (10 plus) weren't in here, the visit would have been just about perfect.

friendly service, cozy atmosphere and quality food. my husband and i moved to westlake recently from new york city and have not had our favorite thaifoodsince we had left so we thought we would research in our neighborhood. we came across thai spice and loved it! the service was warm and friendly. i had excellent hot ginger tea served with my own tea pot and tea cup and i enjoyed a healthy portion of the "ginger" dish with shrimp under their "pan fried dishes". the meal was excellent and they were able to give me brown rice with my meal instead of white which was great! my husband had the green curry with chicken and brown rice and raved about it as well. we both love a fair amount of spice and these meals, especially the green curry, offered it.

nice place. waiter was very nice. i had lemongrass soup and the thai string beans with chicken (added tofu also)and at first i did not think it would be enoughfoodbut it was more than enough. i wanted to order something other than the customary pad thai. the thai sauce that was in the dish was very rich and a little spicy but not that much. the green beans in the dish were fresh and crisp overall good dinner.i would go back and maybe next time i will have some bubble tea.

meh.. my wife and i went to thai spice on a sunday afternoon, with friends. some of the (deep fried) appetizers arrived lukewarm rather than hot. flavorings were oversweet and underwhelming. worse, the service was ridiculously slow; we waited a long time for the appetizers to arrive, then another long while for the entrees to arrive after the appetizers were finished. when the waitress collected our plates at the end of the meal, we indicated we wanted to order desserts. it took her about 20 minutes to bring us the menu so we could choose a dessert. then another long while before she came back to take the dessert order. finally we found ourselves staring at our empty plates for another 20 minutes while we waited for the check. she kept apologizing, apparently aware she'd been slow, but the service didn't get any better. altogether it took nearly 3 hours to get in and out of there, and they weren't even busy.

i want to like this place. some of thefoodis quite good, but some of these lapses are getting into my inexcusable zone. i doubt i'll go back.

only so-so this time. went to thai spice and were promptly seated and waited on. the lemon grass soup was really good. it was at the order that either there was miscommuncation or the kitchen not preparing thefoodthe way it was ordered. we asked for "hot "on both our plates, but came back mild to medium. also, we needed to ask a number of times for water and a beer. thefoodwas delicious, just not made to our asking. next time we'll be a bit more communicative and send it back if it's not right.

great place again. went back for another dinner and it seems more crowded now that people are seeing and tasting how great thefoodis. medium hot is hot and good. still got out of there under $60 for 3 appetizers, 4 beers, and two entrees. the staff was friendly as ever. highly recommend this place.

great place. i haven't gone to an asian restaurant in a while, but was very impressed by thefoodand the service. i had a "medium" hotness in myfoodand was sweating at my collar! the coconut sauce was mixed with the right spices. we had two appetizers, two entrees and 4 beers and our bill was only $50. i consider that a bargain.
the servers were very polite and helpful. just a great little place for some greatfoodat a great price.

wonderfulfood- great selection!. we are regulars here and have enjoyed many of the dishes offered. among our favorites are: summer rolls, spring roll (cha gio), shrimp himaparn (chicken cashew), mango chicken, curries are great (we've tried them all) as is the vietnamese fare-pho soup, vietnamese salad bowl (owners are vietnamese). they are always gracious and never take customers for granted. although they do not serve wine, you can bring your own bottle and they will uncork, chill and serve it for you for no charge. great selection of vegetarian items and if you want things hot - ask for thai hot and tell them you mean it! substitutions are not a problem; they go out of their way to please! everyone i have recommended this place to has loved it and are now regulars, too.
