beautiful restaurant with a well prepared and gratifying menu. the service is classy but not stuffy, comfortable without being too lax. we've been there a few times and always enjoyed the food, and they have an impressive wine list as well. not necessarily a place to bring children perhaps, but i'm sure you still could without feeling uncomfortable.

i came here for lunch on a friday to meet up with my wife. we were seated promptly and our order was taken quickly. we both had the pad thai with soup. i thought the food was pretty good, and i had no issues with it. the only downside to our experience was that the waitress was running around so hectic that we got no smile; she took our order, delivered our food, and no more. i would probably come back here if in the mood for thai food.

worst thai in buffalo. really awful experience. they completely messed up my take-out order up then refused to give any discount other than 10% which didn't even cover the cost of the food they neglected to send me!

and then i tried the food, and it was terrible. the vegetables were soggy and old, the sauce is bland and the chicken of very poor quality.

avoid this place at all costs...

sweet. way too sweet.. we have many thai restaurant choices where i live in california. over the years i have probably eaten in more than a hundred of them here and abroad, though admittedly not in thailand. i took my family to the thai orchid and was terribly disappointed in the food. it is so sweet that it bears no resemblance to any thai food that i have ever had anywhere. the tom kha soup was the right consistency and flavor except for the overriding sweetness. the beef salad was close to what i am used to except for the fact that it is (slightly) less spicy and much sweeter than i have found everywhere else. we had two curries: penang and something else that was forgettable. both were so sweet as to be unrecognizable. i am planning another trip to western new york and a visit to a thai restaurant there soon. it definitely will not be thai orchid.

i'll be back. i read the reviews before coming to this place and all the (excellent) ones were spot on! this was my first time trying thai food. i had the duck something or other, while my sister had pineapple seafood curry. both of us loved it there. the ambiance was lovely (real flowers!) and the food/service was great! definitely recommend.

this is my favorite place to go for thai food in buffalo. the food is always so fresh and the service is excellent. my girlfriend and i go to thai orchid at least once a week and we always enjoy ourselves.

good food & good service. the atmosphere leaves a little to be desired. also, if you're eating with a large group, be prepared to pay with cash and receive one check. for some reason they can't provide multiple checks or split up one check with multiple credit cards. the most they could split a single bill was with two credit cards. this is odd and inconvenient; it's 2012.

one of my favorite restaurants. everything is so good and super fresh and staff is always very courteous and helpful. the lunch specials are an awesome deal and make for a filling inexpensive lunch in an unique atmosphere

best thai in buffalo. this place is so unique. the decor is beautiful and the service is excellent! the food is amazing. i have yet to make my way through the menu, but i have loved everything i've tried thus far.

love thai orchid. my family loves thai orchid. we have eaten here many, many times. always friendly and very competent service. the food is delicious . there are vegetarian entrees which is always a plus. highly recommended !!
thai orchid is very very clean and cheerful place to dine. no liquor license yet but , you can bring your own wine and there is no corking fee etc.

glad they are succeeding!. i went here a few times when they first opened and i love it. i see other people loved it because it's always mobbed now!

excellent food, courteous staff. knowledgable of vegetarian food, i believe all items on vegetarian menu are completly vegan, definitely are vegetarian and free of seafood sauces.

very good food. very reasonable prices and speedy service! i will definitely visit them again pretty soon.
