we’re big fans of thai chef’s restaurant in wellington and so were keen to see what its napier counterpart was like. the menu is huge and features colourful descriptions, making it a fun challenge to narrow down the many choices. most dishes can either be made vegetarian or cone with your choice of meat. i ordered yellow pad thai with pork belly slices, a slight variation on a classic. i was presented with a huge plate of delicious food, some of which was packed up to take home and finish later. the roti was the only disappointing part of our meal; the texture resembled cardboard. the service was very good: pleasant and attentive. a lovely byo dinner.
