line dancing, beer, peanuts and dinner.. new addition to coeur d alene. i will say for being so new and busy they have done a good job of getting things to run smoothly. the service was very good overall. the free peanuts and throwing your shells on the floor was a big hit with my young son. large menu selection and the food was pretty good. lots going on all around you while you eat. the servers do a line dance every 30-40 minutes, seems like every other table was being sung happy birthday to, and no shortage of country music fills the air. the place has a feel of a chain restaurant to me, but that is not necessarily a bad thing. overall for the price, food and entertainment value i would gobackagain.

not tooshabby. i lived in texas for 4 years, and have beenbackto visit many times...and i have to say for a chain restaurant, the food is really good, and has a texas flair to it. i like the atmosphere, although all the waiters are pretty darn young, they are very nice. its not authentic texan, but hey, its a chain rstnt so cant compare...overall i give it an a-

steak!. call ahead!!! the wait is horrid. so many people you might have to stand outside. i called an hour before i got there. still had to wait another half hour. the servise was good for the crowd they had. staff was super friendly. the ribs tasted like they had chili seasoning. the steak was very good. i would gobackagain for that reason alone. yes, i will be back. no on the ribs. if, you go calll ahead!!!

surprisingly great "real" food! no fake sour cream or cheese!. i was pleasantly surprised today when mom and dad took me out to lunch to texas roadhouse. they kept stressing the value and that the food was good. we all had that 8.99 special. you choose from about 8 entrees and then pick two sides. i went with the sirloin, baked potato and salad with blue cheese. the sirloin was the best ive ever had. best sirloin that is. normally when i order steak in a restaurant i'll order a tenderloin or porterhouse. this steak was very flavorful, perfectly seasoned, perfectly cooked ( rare), and perfectly seared! its was even pretty tender! the potato was covered in salt which i don't like but i just brushed it off. the sour cream was real! most of you don't even know you're eating fake food most of the time! you don't often get real sour cream in restaurants anymore! the cheese on my salad was real as well! the blue cheese dressing was obviously homemade and really good! we are very picky about our dressings. well actually, we're picky about our food! we don't eat plastic food! oh yeah.......mom loved her burger and daddy's barbecue was great as usual. texas roadhouse you deserve to be successful! we'll bebackfor mothers day! please keep the great quality!

less quality than the competition. the years have left an impression that, when compared to the competition, tr is riding more on storefront and image than on the quality of their food. although the frequency of visits was decreasing, tr's relatively late hours, combined with our long hospital shifts, kept my wife and i returning -- until our most recent and last experience.

25 minutes after phoning in an order last wednesday night, it was near closing time as i waited in tr's designated order pick-up parking space. as a waitress approached to collect my bill, she was intercepted by a healthy young man who pulled up on a nice motor-bike (scooter). after his pitch, "i'm a little low on funds right now -- do you have some extra salad or somethin'?," our waitress wentbackinside before returning 5 minutes later and handing mr. scooter a large take-out box that appeared to have 2 italian dressings on top. he could have used a (free) bag too, but mr. s was managing as he drove away. then the waitress collected my bill, and 15 minutes later i was on my way with a large bag of dinner for 3.

at home we discovered 2 small salads instead of the 2 large ones that had been ordered and paid for -- no big deal in itself-- just the last straw -- just an excuse to cross tr off the list of life's compromises.. a youth spent working in restaurants has made me a good tipper, and it also educated my guess that the tr kitchen had put away the "extra" salad by the time mr. s requested his. one of our salads was delivered to mr. scooter, and the other salad was then divided into 2 hamburger size take-out boxes.

it soon became pizza night at our house, as i tossed-out the entire order -- entrees, little salads, sides, and all -- partly as an "end of the line" ceremony (which happened to entertain my visiting sister-in-law), but mostly out of an informed fear of what can happen when kitchen staff begin down the path of food-tampering.

over time a pattern reveals that tr leaves the most important things to be desired, including better food (outback, charlie & jake's, smokey bones, memaw's, woody's, and sonny's -- to name a few) along with a higher level of integrity (service, responsibility, and accountability). tr's atmosphere and image can only stretch so far. even the epic voice of willie nelson (advertisement) won't bring us back.

texas roadhouse, dani dr., ft. myers, fl., here is my 2 cents on the food & chatter.

i came here on the 4th to get the special.

8oz. top sirloin with 2 sides( mash taters & green beans)

i must say i was blown away on how tender this steak was. the sides were outstanding ,too.

cooked to a perfect medium rare. just needed salt & pepper.

overall a great meal.

the service was grand.

american meat lovers. here is my 2 cents, this is the 2nd time eating here. it beef's ....it is all good. no menu this time. i saw a 20 ounce boneless ribeye in the glass case. that was mine. as usual there was all you can eat hot honey flavored rolls with butter. plus peanuts galore.... make a mess on the floor. i splurged and got a tequila sunrise. ( wow 6 bucks for a named brand tequila.. i paid 95 cents for my first sunrise at lacklind ,afb, texas, waybackwhen,1975) i added mushrooms on top of the steak and of course it must be medium rare. the cook obliged and did the job right. it was delish and tender.green beans with bacon/onions.... tasty. plus a baked potato with all the fixings :cheese, bacon, sour cream and of course extra butter. the tater was cooked to perfection hot fluffy. ( eat the skins for the vitamins folks). of course being long in the tooth i had to get a doggie bag for the rest of my ribeye. ( i am no longer a spring chicken) but take it home slap it between two slices of white bread ... a 2nd meal.
the service and folks were stellar. i was there at 1105 am on memorial day. food came quick. lots of attention. the place filled up fast.

great job.

texas roadhouse, dani dr., ft. myers,fl. here is my 2 cents on the food and chatter.
i went a different route this time. i order a medium rare 6  oz. top sirloin, green beans and mashed potatoes. 9 bucks. bad choice. i usually always get prime ribs,
ole the rolls are still delish. the greens beans were up to par. but everything nope.
they happen to drop and spill all of the mash taters, ok accidents happen. i can wait, they use real taters. the meat, so small and so chewy, mm  mm mm. it was cooked proper. never more.  i got my mash taters. it was more like smashed peeled taters but chucks of potatoes not mashed. the brown gravy had to be better made.
service was fine but this time around not a good meal

to whom it may concern:

this is the first review that i have ever written, but i must respond to the horrible way that i was treated last night as i took my family to the texas road house on eau gallie blvd in indiatlantic, fl. i have been a satisfied customer of texas road house for years, until last night.

years ago, i was issued a texas road house card that entitled me to receive 10% off my meals there. on thebackof the card it clearly said “permanent 10% off”. i have used the card many times in the past with no problem at all.

last night, after our meal, the server gave me the bill. i gave him my credit card and the 10% off card.

the server returned to our table and said that the manger – mr. james kok – told him that the 10% off card would not be honored. further, one of the other managers came to our table and said that my card had been torn in half and that it would not be returned to me. and there is nothing that anyone can do about it.

that 10% off card was given to me years ago, it belonged to me and the current manager – mr. james kok - had no right to destroy it and not return it to me.

it is not the money, but the principle of the matter and how i was treated that has made me really upset.

mr. kok – your actions have lost you a loyal customer as i and my family will never be back. i am sure that you just don’t care.

tesla just completed construction of a charging station in the shops of village walk. consequently, my project over the next few weeks is to check out dining establishments in the area, so that i have one or more places to fuel my body while my car is charging.

almost as soon as you walk through the door of texas roadhouse, you encounter a large display case filled with a variety of cuts of beef - letting you know that steaks are their primary mission.

i decided to order a combination plate: barbequed ribs and a small sirloin steak. i chose caesar salad and baked potato as accompaniments. the salad came first, along with a basket of rolls that i declined. the salad was lightly dressed, and the romaine leaves were cross-cut about an inch thick. that meant that some were four to five inches across, making it slightly difficult to get them in my mouth without getting dressing on my face. the flavor of the dressing was extremely mild - almost nonexistent. when i was working my way through college, one of the many jobs that i had was as a dining room chef in an american plan resort. there were evenings when i prepared as many as 50 caesar salads from scratch, tableside - so i have first-hand knowledge of how this dish should look and taste.

when i prepare baked potato at home, the result has a crisp, crunchy skin, with a pillowy-soft interior. the one that i got here had a flimsy skin and lumpy, undercooked inside. even when i used thatbackof my fork to mash down the interior, in order to absorb the butter, i met unusual resistance.

ribs is one of those dishes that i do not prepare at home. the excuse is simple; the fort myers area has a number of establishments that prepare them as a feature or specialty. less than a week ago, the news-press published an article about "11 great bbq joints", written by their longtime restaurant critic. texas roadhouse was definitely not one of the places reviewed. the ribs that i was served were unbelievably overcooked (maybe last night's leftovers?), and the sauce lacked any distinctive seasonings or flavors. i can't remember ever having had any worse.

well, the 6 ounce sirloin steak was perfectly cooked, with a finished weight of 4.75 ounces. that seems a little light for a medium-rare order, but, as i said, it was cooked to perfection.

last, and maybe least, the iced tea that i was served was extraordinarily pale (with corresponding light flavor) - perhaps because i got there just after they opened, and it wasn't fully brewed when i placed my order.

if all that i wanted to eat was a steak, and i didn't want to cook it myself, and i didn't want anything else with the steak, then this place might occur to me. but, that isn't going to happen, and i'm not going to waste time giving them a second chance - life is too short!

we had the chicken fried steak. the steak could have been a piece of tile off the floor covered with gravy. so tough did not eat it all. will not bebackfor the chicken fry but may try something else. like to give a restaurant a couple tries before writing it off.

my wife and i came because we received a gift card from here for a christmas present. i can tell you now that it was a very good present. we came for lunch and found that they have 11 different items on the menu for $8.99. it is called their early dine menu. you get the entree and a choice of 2 sides. it is a very good deal offered monday thru thursday before 6 and saturday before 3. i had the 6 oz. sirloin with a baked potato and a cup of chili. i started out with an order of the killer ribs appetizer. it had 3 large sauced ribs on top of some steak fries. the sauce was mild and delicious. the ribs were very meaty and tasty. the steak fries were a little bit under done for my taste. my 6 oz. sirloin steak was cooked perfectly medium rare and was very tender, juicy and flavorful. the baked potato was one of the better ones that i have ever had. my cup of chili was slightly spicy and had a very good slightly tangy flavor. i really liked it. my wife ordered the country fried chicken and the baked sweet potato. she liked her chicken fried chicken but wished the it was not so thin. she loved the crunchy coating and the cream gravey that came on the side. she said the highlight of her order was the baked sweet potato. she said it was like eating a dessert. we finished our meal with an order of the granny's apple classic. it is a large piece of very good apple pie with vanilla ice cream and a side of honey, cinnamon, caramel sauce. it was the perfect end to our meal. we both agreed that we will be comingbacksoon.

the rattlesnake bites are my favorite thing on the menu. seriously if i would have  just stuck with the appetizer as my meal then i would be completely satisfied. however service was slow and my steak came out way under-cooked (seared on each side and raw in the middle when i ordered well). the manager was nice enough to come out and apologize and put itbackon the grill for me but by that time i was really turned off and couldn't eat.
on the other hand my husband and son had no complaints about there food and it all seemed to be cooked perfectly.
i probably would dine here again, but i would be sure to emphasize what "well done" means to me.
