bread, sweet tea and steaks. this place starts out with fresh bread and cinnamon butter, then you can choose your own path. they make darn fine sweet tea and keep the glass full throughout the meal. all of our servers have been friendly and attentive, so no complaints there. the portions are plentiful for the price: i've never left hungry. the ribs are fall-off-the-bone good and i had one of the the best steaks i've had in awhile here. i always get a sweet potato -- sometimes loaded and sometimes just with brown sugar, butter and cinnamon. highly recommended.

watch out for the waits, though. this place gets crowded and the lines can be insane. i think they have a call-ahead list, so i'd recommend that if you are planning to go during 'normal' dinner times.

expect a long wait on weekends in the evenings.

great. i used to love this place when i was living in texas and am glad to know it's not just in texas. they offer peanuts to snack on while you wait and you can throw the shells on the floor. the rolls are great and the cinnamon butter is to die for. the meals are great and in a nice price range and the service is very good.

excellent food, slow service. as always the food is great, ribs fall off the bone but this young ladies (there is only about 2 male waiters) take fooooooreeeeeeveeeer to take your drinks order, sometimes they forget to bring them at all, and also take a long time to take your meal order, but once they have the meal order it doesn't take as long.
i think they choose the waitstaff based on appearance more than in service or experience.

loud. asked for a medium well steak, they brought me a well done steak. long, long wait not worth the food but if you go on an off time it is ok

i normally avoid chain restaurants, but.... ...texas roadhouse is an exception. it is one of the few places i have found where i can get steaks that are consistently flavorful and juicy (ordered medium rare, of course!).

dirty, tricky. evening of 12/6 ladies restroom had no soap and no towels. bad enough for customers, but what about employees handling my food?
i ordered wine, redwood creek cabernet from the menu, $4.??. when i received my bill, i was charged $5.99 for a merlot. when i questioned the waitress, she said they didn't have the redwood creek, so they substituted the merlot without asking me or even mentioning it to me, then charged me the higher price. she would not make an adjustment.

worst service & place is run by unprofessional & rude manager.. i gave into all the hype and finally tonight with three friends went to the texas roadhouse. all four of us are highly qualified professionals. but we had a horrible experience first time in an american restaurant. waitress was horrible and when we approached manager on duty, he was worse manager i have ever experienced. he was very unprofessional, unethical and rude. it was thursday evening and place was not full. we were enjoying our drinks with appetizer and manager himself told us to order dinner so that he can fill the table with the next customers waiting in line and there was no one waiting. once we told him that we will order dinner after few minutes then we were ordered to pay the cheque immediately and leave the restaurant. they started cleaning up the table before we finish our appetizer. it was pathetic. certainly not recommended “union city texas roadhouse” for self esteemed people who wanted to dine out with family & friends. texas roadhouse management should seriously look at the performance of this manager.
