terry's cafe

came recently and was served by a moody and ignorant host. she was too busy messing around with staff than wondering whether we needed serving. 

just read other reviews and one customer is right - the owner doesn’t want to hear constructive feedback. whether you’ve been in business 1 or 35 years is of no consequence. people give up their precious time and cash to eat somewhere where they will feel welcome. 

it feels good to get value for time and money as opposed to moodiness, ignorance and lazy service.  

so please - take on board those customers who take the time to write a review and chat with your team who are not pulling their socks up. 
*** the owner wrotebackto another customer review saying that they can “assess” whether they want to come back, which is fair enough. but it’s their loss. not the customer’s. 

the food is great. but if you’re looking for consistent, welcoming customer service - i’d give terry’s café a miss.

i visited this cafe on saturday and i haven't stopped telling people about it since. the quality of the food really surprised me and with the tea, it's a bargain. i absolutely loved the decor of the place and with the music, it really felt like we had steppedbackin time. me and my friend really saying want to gobackand i hope it won't be long. i highly recommend this place. i wish it was open in the evenings.

i camebackto terry's after a disappointing previous visit and i must say they have improved dramatically. i forgive all the mistakes they committed the previous time. the lunch was great! the food was amazing and this is definitely the best cafe of all of those i have been to around london and the south east. thank you for the very pleasant meal!

i came here with my partner and daughter on a saturday morning. my daughter ordered a scrambled egg with smoked salmon which she found to be beautiful and very tasty. my partner ordered the 'full works' and described the large sausage, black pudding and bacon to be some of the best she had tasted. i ordered the smithfield which comprised of steak with fried onions, fried egg,backbacon and bubble and squeak. the food was of fantastic quality and reasonably priced. our bill came out to be â£32 including drinks but we didn't need to eat again till 7 pm that night.

love the decor of this restaurant, brilliantly interiorized to perfectly bring out historic ambience and a leapbackin time theme.the walls are decorated with framed quote by britishers depicting how they used to enjoy their meals. the service is retro as well with themed costumes and table accessories. very enjoyable an experience and tasty meals. worth a visit!
