stopped in for lunch while on business.  everything on the menu sounded amazing but the server directed me to the orrecchiette pasta and it was definitely a good choice.  the bread and marinara brought prior to your meal is fabulous.  the table next to us had some of the pizzas which i'd love to have on my next visit although i don't think any menu item would be less than superb.  i would certainly recommend tavola trattoria to anyone in the bentonville area looking for greatitalianfood.

sunday we took my adult children here for one of their birthdays. (it was her choice). we have eaten here about a year ago and it was okay but we weren't impressed enough to go back. however, yesterday was so much better! even though it was busy, we shown immediately to our table. i had called earlier in the week to make reservations for six and found out they don't take reservations. but they do give priority to those who call ahead, and i really dislike that. but it worked for us so anyway... we had a very charming and attentive waiter. the cucumber water was cold and refreshing. at our table we ended up with the rustic pizza which had mozzarella and goat cheeses, roasted japanese eggplant, bell peppers, garlic, fresh herbs, crushed red pepper flakes and cherry tomatoes; two of the wallingford stromboli's which were filled with pepperoni, mushrooms,italiansausage, promodoro and mozzarella; the veal lemon cutlet with mushrooms, artichokes with lemon butter and cream reduction and capers over pasta; and four rocket salads made of fresh arugula, pecorino, oranges, focaccia croutons and dressed in orange-mango vinaigrette. it was all very delicious as beautifully presented. because it was her birthday, a choice was given for any free dessert she desired. she chose the chocolate creme brulee. it too was very beautiful. i do not know if our first time was just an off night or if they have greatly improved, but we will be back.

fantastic. i have eatenitalianfood all over the world.....even in many different parts of italy. this is the closest you will come. the meal and service were outstanding and we went on mother's day so the restaurant was packed. we will certainly be back.

went here for lunch on a friend’s recommendation. i had a delicious crab cake salad with a very thick (obviously homemade) catalina vinaigrette. i wasn’t sure how i would like the grapefruit sections in it but it was really good! hubby had anitaliansandwich that he said was excellent (& a large sandwich). waitress was so friendly & very good. will definitely be back!!

a fineitaliandinning experience in a modern upscale yet casual environment. i like tavola trattoria’s mix of traditionalitaliandishes with fresh takes on the same. i appreciate the classic crooners like sinatra and martin playing, that’s italian! the service has been very good at various times and days. the food is perfectly prepared thou everyone has a different opinion on whatitalianfood should be. for me the fresh baked bread, fresh pasta and seasonings are spot on thou i personally like a bit more garlic and basil. with so many great restaurants on or near the square it’s hard to pick a favorite, but tavola is certainly in the running.

this rating is not based on the quality of tavola's food, they have the bestitalianfood in bentonville. the quality of service is what makes dining at tavola undesirable.

love their food, and can't eatitaliananywhere else. always had great service and never had a dish that disappointed. sometimes there's a wait, but once you're seated you get your food fairly quick

the unique spongy bread is so delicious and so far from the stale crusty so-called bread that was served by italian restaurants of yesteryear.  also, it's so airy and fresh and everything's pretty good... and it manages to hold its own against tusk and trotter next door, which deserves a medal in its own right.

tavola trattoria is the restaurant that people go to when they want elegantitalianfood in bentonville.  certainly there are many other choices foritaliandining in the area, both independent and chain restaurants.  however, when people go to tavola, they are looking for that special experience.  that includes the funky glasses that come in all sorts of odd shapes and convince you that you are tipsy even before the wine is poured.  the unique spongy bread is so delicious and so far from the stale crusty so-called bread that was served by italian restaurants of yesteryear. those things are nice, but people keep coming back to try the many unique recipes at tavola, which one could term nouvelleitaliancuisine, except it’s not the least bit snotty!

really great food! i had the spaghetti and meatballs (i am anitalianand i kinda live judgingitalianfood joins based on their execution of classic recipes. definitely did not disappoint! they are, however, a more contemporary restaurant featuring dishes that are similar to those found in mediterranean cafés or greek restaurants as well. my boyfriend ordered crab mac and cheese and loved every bite. even used the bread to eat the last bit of sauce off the plate! we dined for lunch, and i can imagine it is busy for dinner. downside is slower than ideal service, but for the price you really can't complain. i will definitely go back!

in bentonville visiting the museum and wanted to eat local fare. tavola was fantastic and cami was great! bestitalianwe have had in a very long time.

pretty good. went here for my birthday dinner. the service was good but the decor is a bit funky for the classyitalianfood they serve. my vegetarian lasagna was good, and a big portion, but it pretty much tasted like eggplant parmesan in lasagna form, and i couldn't taste the different types of cheese. my mom got the crab mac and cheese and enjoyed it, but my dad was even more excited and pleased with his gnocchi formagi. the desiree cake for dessert was creamy and good, very moist/soft from the cream they soak it in, but i couldn't really taste the nutella which i was looking forward to. all in all, it is a great place to go for classyitalianfood.
