besttapasin montreal. amazing place fortapasand a nice atmosphere...perfect restaurant for a nice dinner date :) i just wish they brought back my favourite dish, the pork carpaccio. otherwise, love their menu and wine selection. my boyfriend and i go there quite often.

great place for tapas.  tapeo is alway busy  and it can take a while for reservations. very happening place in the heart of villeray. nice decor, very service.  from start to finish they are very welcoming, friendly and helpful went here for birthday celebration, we were four people, we gave them carte blanche to bring us their best. had lots of fish and seafood dishes.tapasare small portions, but by end of the meal we were stuffed.  a little costly.

bon tapeo est devenu notre resto pour célébrer les anniversaires de la famille. on y mange toujours très bien en partageant du bon temps avec nos êtres chers.

je pense que j'ai un faible pour la cuisine japonaise (comme vous pouvez voir dans mes critiques), mais aussi espagnole. chez tapeo, on retrouve l'esprit de la cuisine de l'espagne, notamment avec leurs excellentes paellas avec des beaux morceaux de fruits de mer. par contre, ce que j'aime par dessus tout: c'est la formuletapasoù on peut partager les plats et goûter à tout. ça doit être mon côté asiatique, où on met tout au centre et on partage les mets. j'adore ça.

chapeau à marie-fleur st-pierre! elle a su garder une cuisine soignée et savoureuse. sa clientèle la suit depuis plusieurs années. chaque bouchée est un pur bonheur. on sent l'amour dans les plats. de plus, le service est impeccable ce qui rend l'expérience très agréable. aussi, le resto a certains vins d'importations privées. leurs sélections de rioja sont très bons.

mes conseils: réservez d'avance surtout pour le vendredi et samedi. ce restaurant est très prisé. est-ce que je vous ai dit que c'était bon?

on y va pour:
-paella
-fideos
-tapas du jour ou du mois
-tomate sur vigne (le mélange d'huile et du pesto est délicieux )
-sardines (je les adore, car ils sont en filet)
-fruits de mer

love going to this place! good variety oftapasand the food is really good. they serve very good amaretto sour too (my favorite drink!). service is great. ambiance is wonderful for a night out either with your loved one or with a group of friends. i will definitely come back.

wonderful experience in the summertime - tried everything that was recommended. great choices. decor has a warm feel to it - perhaps the local ambiance helps since it's hidden away in the neighborhood. highly recommend for a group of 4 (as we were). so happy to have a goodtapasplace near my old stomping grounds. don't forget the drinks!

a classictapasplace in villeray. funky decor. attentive staff that explains the menu with great care. a mix of traditional and reinvented plates. interesting wine menu.

pricey but tasty

definitely one of the besttapasplaces in town. i have been there on a couple of occasions and each time enjoyed it a lot. the food is tasty and thetapasthey offer are interesting. the service is also friendly. if you go in a group, you can have a group special.

an insult totapasstyle food.sardine salad and was served with canned fish. cod dish was served with canned artichoke and canned olives. of the 6tapasordered, only the chorizo was half decent - chewy but decent. tab $225 for 2 including a bottle of wine and 2 extra glasses of wine ($13/glass). waste of money. i don't know what all the hype is all about.

best paella in town. it was an amazing night at tapeo with my date. we order few cocktails not well balanced but its ok its not a bar. we order 2tapasand a paella for 2 and 2 dessert . food excellent we took sardine salad ( was tasty and refreshing) , truffle eggs and fish ( so good we sponge our bread in sauce) and paella was full of seafood flavor garnish with huge gamba(shrimp) mussels , scallops , calamari. dish was alot for 2 maybe 3 its perfect. i had a really good experience

my friends and i wanted to get together and we found tapeo and decided it was worth a try. tapeo is a spanishtapasplace that had opened for abi highly recommend trying this place if you’re ready to dish out a couple dollars. it can get pricey, but i had a blast here. the food was absolutely incredible, the ambiance was so engaging and the service excellent. i would advise you to call in early to make a reservation, as tapeo gets incredibly booked up on the weekend.ve l

an awesome night. stopped by tapeo for supper without reservations. i usually always make reservations, as any diner would tell you, the montreal eateries can get quite busy. the place was packed but the host was capable of finding us a table at the same time warning us that we had to be done by 9:30 (this gave us an hour and a half so we agreed). and what a great dinning experience we had. the food was awesome and you could tell the chefs have a lot of passion for what they cook. we had the beef tartar,tapasof the day (snails in a tomatoe sauce with cheese), the endives, the grilled octopus, fried calamari, and a bottle of red. their wine was from a private importation and went well with the food. not only was the food very tasty, but also reasonably priced for the above norm quality (as is expected from spanish cuisine). all in all an amazing experience as much for the food as for the fine service we got from the waiter who was funny and quite charming. once again, thank you to the host, waiter, and chefs at tapeo for an awesome night. i will definitely be back for the paella, which i forgot to order...also thanks to the chef for complementarytapasof mandarin topped fresh goat cheese.

eachtapasis generously portioned and has a nice profile of flavours. every dish tasted very good, hard to pick our favourites.

the grilled octopus was tender meld well together with the pesto romesco sauce. the scallop was perfectly cooked served with a nice fruity marmalade sauce. the vine tomatoes and goat cheese is a nice combination with a basilic oil which we literately soaked the bread in it - so addictive. the braised short ribs, braised for at least four hours, were fork-tender, fall-off the bone and flavourful. finally, the churros dipped in chocolate - heavenly, excellent dessert to finish off the meal.

dissapointed. my friend and i made reservations at this restaurant for her birthday last friday. unfortunately, i am unable to rate the food, as we were rudely turned away when we arrived a few minutes late. although we were suppose to have the table until 8, the waiter had given away our table without even as much as a call to warn us. but that's not the worst part, when we arrive, the host was extremely rude and condescending, would not give us the time of day, and asked us to leave the restaurant.

we have never felt so humiliated nor disrespected. needless to say, we won't be recommending this place any time soon, and will never step foot there again. it might be the besttapasrestaurant in town, but that's no way to treat customers...

not the besttapasbar. i've been a quest to find the besttapasbar in montreal for the past 4 years ever since i moved back to the city after living in europe (mostly catalan country) for a few years.
having tried manytapasbars in montreal, i must say that i was quite disappointed with tapeo. the ambiance is cool but the menu is not great and neither is the food.
in my opinion, the besttapasbar in montreal is casatapasfollowed by taza flores. don't waste your money on tapeo
