an awesome night. stopped by tapeo for supper without reservations. i usually always make reservations, as any diner would tell you, the montreal eateries can get quite busy. theplacewas packed but the host was capable of finding us a table at the same time warning us that we had to be done by 9:30 (this gave us an hour and a half so we agreed). and what a great dinning experience we had. the food was awesome and you could tell the chefs have a lot of passion for what they cook. we had the beef tartar, tapas of the day (snails in a tomatoe sauce with cheese), the endives, the grilled octopus, fried calamari, and a bottle of red. their wine was from a private importation and went well with the food. not only was the food very tasty, but also reasonably priced for the above norm quality (as is expected from spanish cuisine). all in all an amazing experience as much for the food as for the fine service we got from the waiter who was funny and quite charming. once again, thank you to the host, waiter, and chefs at tapeo for an awesome night. i will definitely be back for the paella, which i forgot to order...also thanks to the chef for complementary tapas of mandarin topped fresh goat cheese.
