chez tapeo, la bouffe est excellente! l'entrée du jour, les éperlans, était parfaite! je n'ai jamais mangé des éperlans aussi délicieux! ensuite, pour le plat principal, j'ai commandé la paella. elle est exquise, même si j'aime bien avoir un peu de riz croquant dans mon plat et qu'il n'y en avait pas lors de ma visite. (toutefois, bonus: si on ne mange pas de viande, on peut demander la paella sans chorizo, super)! pour dessert, j'ai pris un expresso avec des churros au chocolat. :) personnellement, je préfère la garniture à l'intérieur de mon churros, mais c'était quand même très bien! bref, c'était un lunch fabuleux! je mets toutefois une note de 4, car leserviceétait moyen. tsé quand les serveurs demandent aux autres clients si tout va bien, leur souhaitent bon appétit avec le sourire et qu'à toi, on ne te parle pas même quand tu dis merci et tout, c'est vraiment plate! et des sourires, on oublie ça, c'est à peine s'ils m'ont regardé! bref, c'est sûr que je retourne au tapeo, car la bouffe est géniale, mais j'espère que j'aurai droit au mêmeserviceque les autres clients même si je ne suis pas une femme d'affaire/cliente régulière/client qui commande une bouteille de vin dispendieuse/peu importe la raison cette journée-là!

one of the best restaurants in montreal. for the times i’v been (10 times) i’v never been desapointed. really recommend this restaurant. they adjust for people who are gluten intolerant and dairy intolerant or any kind of allegies.serviceis amazing, very cozy restaurant really recommended

second time we went there. food was better second time around. excellent, lots of great, balanced flavours.

waiter was ok until the end where he was clearly unhappy with the tip. not sure why, we gave more than minimum required though hisservicewasn’t above average, not bad but nothing remarquable.
we were super easy going all along, we were enjoying ourselves, no complaints, no special requests nothing that could have bothered him.

yet he clearly wasn’t happy, as soon as we paid, it’s almost as he threw the bill on the table and left with a barely audible “bye” without looking at us.

kind of puts a bad taste in your mouth. hopefully it is an exception. rest of the staff seemed friendly.

bon tapeo est devenu notre resto pour célébrer les anniversaires de la famille. on y mange toujours très bien en partageant du bon temps avec nos êtres chers.

je pense que j'ai un faible pour la cuisine japonaise (comme vous pouvez voir dans mes critiques), mais aussi espagnole. chez tapeo, on retrouve l'esprit de la cuisine de l'espagne, notamment avec leurs excellentes paellas avec des beaux morceaux de fruits de mer. par contre, ce que j'aime par dessus tout: c'est la formule tapas où on peut partager les plats et goûter à tout. ça doit être mon côté asiatique, où on met tout au centre et on partage les mets. j'adore ça.

chapeau à marie-fleur st-pierre! elle a su garder une cuisine soignée et savoureuse. sa clientèle la suit depuis plusieurs années. chaque bouchée est un pur bonheur. on sent l'amour dans les plats. de plus, leserviceest impeccable ce qui rend l'expérience très agréable. aussi, le resto a certains vins d'importations privées. leurs sélections de rioja sont très bons.

mes conseils: réservez d'avance surtout pour le vendredi et samedi. ce restaurant est très prisé. est-ce que je vous ai dit que c'était bon?

on y va pour:
-paella
-fideos
-tapas du jour ou du mois
-tomate sur vigne (le mélange d'huile et du pesto est délicieux )
-sardines (je les adore, car ils sont en filet)
-fruits de mer

love going to this place! good variety of tapas and the food is really good. they serve very good amaretto sour too (my favorite drink!).serviceis great. ambiance is wonderful for a night out either with your loved one or with a group of friends. i will definitely come back.

pricey but tasty

definitely one of the best tapas places in town. i have been there on a couple of occasions and each time enjoyed it a lot. the food is tasty and the tapas they offer are interesting. theserviceis also friendly. if you go in a group, you can have a group special.

my friends and i wanted to get together and we found tapeo and decided it was worth a try. tapeo is a spanish tapas place that had opened for abi highly recommend trying this place if you’re ready to dish out a couple dollars. it can get pricey, but i had a blast here. the food was absolutely incredible, the ambiance was so engaging and theserviceexcellent. i would advise you to call in early to make a reservation, as tapeo gets incredibly booked up on the weekend.ve l

i only have great things to .... as a montreal native, i take personal pride in the culinary achievements of this city and i have eaten my way through quite a bit of them! with that being said, hands down, tapeo is my absolute favourite restautant in montreal! (yes, even over kazu and toqué!)

my experiences have consistently been nothing short of wonderful at tapeo. though it may not have the noteriety or fame of other eateries in this city, and is certainly quite geographically isolated from them, it does still have star chef backing and has held up on its own for very good reasons. their dishes are crafted to perfection, theserviceis top-notch, and the ambiance is fabulous. only the freshest ingredients and the most innovative executions at this place. and they intuitively space out your orders so that complementing dishes are brought out together and in batches so that you aren't overwhelmed by too many plates at once.

if i can recommend just one thing, it would be the veal flank. other star dishes are the vine tomatos (so much more than just tomatoes), patatas bravas, beef short ribs and their tartares... though i doubt you would go wrong ordering anything there!

an awesome night. stopped by tapeo for supper without reservations. i usually always make reservations, as any diner would tell you, the montreal eateries can get quite busy. the place was packed but the host was capable of finding us a table at the same time warning us that we had to be done by 9:30 (this gave us an hour and a half so we agreed). and what a great dinning experience we had. the food was awesome and you could tell the chefs have a lot of passion for what they cook. we had the beef tartar, tapas of the day (snails in a tomatoe sauce with cheese), the endives, the grilled octopus, fried calamari, and a bottle of red. their wine was from a private importation and went well with the food. not only was the food very tasty, but also reasonably priced for the above norm quality (as is expected from spanish cuisine). all in all an amazing experience as much for the food as for the fineservicewe got from the waiter who was funny and quite charming. once again, thank you to the host, waiter, and chefs at tapeo for an awesome night. i will definitely be back for the paella, which i forgot to order...also thanks to the chef for complementary tapas of mandarin topped fresh goat cheese.

comme toujours la bouffe est excellente mais leservicey est devenu très bourru. nous étions un groupe de 8 un samedi soir (21janvier 2012) pour y fêter l'anniversaire d'un ami. tout le long du repas les serveurs nous rappelaient qu'il fallait quitter pour 19:30 en regardant leurs montres. il y a un des serveurs qui lançait les plats sur la table et par la suite un autre c'est accrohé très rudement sur moi en s'excusant rapidement et froidement. le comble est quand un des serveurs avec son cabaret m'a frappé derrière la tête et a fait semblant de rien.

my top 5 in mtl. have been a patron since its firsts plates were served, and still, in my top 5 favorite restaurants in montreal!
even had them cater my birthday dinner at home so friends could have a taste!
most probably the best beef tartare, ever!!!

délicieux!. très bonne bouffe! la carpaccio de porc est à essayer absolument! belle carte des vins composé principalement de vins d'espagne. leserviceétait courtois et attentionné. beau décor, belle ambiance, cependant, la musique un peu trop forte. fortement recommandé!

very good food and theserviceis incredible. the only slight negative was that they only give you a two hour window to eat with your reservation (ours was at 6 and they said we had to be dine by 8)
