tap room pub & grub

best burger i've had in at least 3 years.greatbeer selection. nice people. would be perfect except for smoking.

i love this place - cozy atmosphere,greatfood and incredible alcohol selection!

the tap room is a pub, no doubt about that. it really livens up at night, but i actually prefer to go during the day so that i can snag a booth with some of my friends and relax with a beer or two. agreatplace to go if you're looking to watch a game, since they have multiple screens around the bar for the sports fans. one of the things i love most about this bar is that they serve food (though it is a limited segment of their menu) after 10, so when you're three beers in with you buddies and you get the munchies, you can enjoy some fried pickles or southwestern eggrolls late into the night.

their menu isn't extensive, but what they do have on the menu is done right. it's meaty, fried, greasy bar food, exactly the way it *should* be. their burgers are big in size and flavor (the queso burger is my personal favorite), and the rack of bbq ribs i had yesterday was so tender that the meat literally kept falling off of the rib bones back into my basket of fries (which is nothing to complain about).

but obviously everyone goes for their huge selection of beers, and nearly all of my friends proudly whip out their beer cards as soon as they walk in the door. i don't personally know anyone who's filled a card out, but i would be proud if i did. when i go out to a bar with a group of friends, we always come here. like i said, after a few beers and a burger, you're going to have to roll out the front door into the parking lot.

really good atmosphere and food. the bread on the burgers must be homemade.greatsalsa too. definitely visit.

why don't they have an "i love it" choice?. because, i love the tap room. the chicken wings (on special on wed nights) are so good i almost always have to have a second order to take home.greatribs too, french fries are fresh cut and crispy. all served with somegreatbeer (probably 300 choices).

i usually sit at the bar to talk it up with the cute bartenders. :)

only problem is the really smoky atmosphere when the college crowd comes in. i would say not appropriate for kids except early in the afternoons.

it's agreatplace to eat with an amazing beer selection on tap. they beer from all over the world and amazing service. oh, and the waitresses are smokin' hott.

a reallygreatplace to have a beer and watch the game, catch up with friends, or get a bite to eat. they have a very large selection of beer on tap and their burgers are the best i've ever had. the ribs are delicious and the meat just falls off the bone. solid 2 thumbs up!!!

excellent fries and burgers.. and they have an incredible amount of beer on tap. i suggest going on the world tour and try every beer, but for a calm day on the square, it's agreatcheap place to eat and drink.

the burgers are amazing. most san marcos bars are not known for their food, but tap room is the one exception. the bread that the burgers comes on is like no other, you really have to try it to fully get the idea. the only drawback is they open at 3pm, but open late and well worth it. with the world tour, not guitar hero here either, tap room is andgreatplace for food and drinks.
