tap room pub & grub

we compare all the burgers weeatto taproom.. they are sooo amazing! the fries are excellent! and awesome beer menu. chicken ranch pita is delicious too!!!

bad experience. i've lived in san marcos since 2007 and have been to the taproom many times. it's very rare i write bad reviews about restaurants or even bars for that matter. i went toeatthere tonight and had asked the waiter if the order of fried mushrooms was a full basket and he told me he usually cant finish a basket himself...then following with he doesn'teatfried mushrooms. wth? i then ordered the basket of fried mushrooms with the idea of having a full-sized, good portion of them. i had also ordered the basket of fried shrimp.

when the meals arrived at the table, the fried mushrooms had literally about 10 nickle-sized mushrooms (might i add they are $6). i was not about to pay 6 bucks for 10 baby sized shrooms. the fried shrimp were even smaller than the shrooms and you get about 6-8 with a lot of fries to cover up the scrawny shrimp.

overall, this tap room experience was not a good one. not to say i haven't had any good experiences, but i left very disappointed and still hungry. after tonight, i probably won't go back there toeatagain. i don't think the portion size of the food matches the pricing whatsoever.

i weight 110 pounds and don'teatvery much, but i ate the entire loaded burger because it was absolutely delicious!

absolutely delicious burgers and chili fries, good service!

one of my all time favorite places toeatand drink! who doesn't love the guacamole queso burger and your favorite draught beer :)

i sat at a wooden table in the middle of the restaurant and in between the cracks of the tables was old food and nasty black and brown food gunk caked all within the table. i sat there chiseling it out of the table for about 10 minutes and it grossed everyone at the table out. i will noteatthere anymore because they obviously are filthy. i can't imagine how much they probably slack about cleaning the kitchen. i would only drink a beer from this place. but even then. have they ever cleaned their taps? they are a nasty unsanitary place in my opinion. grosses me out thinking of eating here. just a heads up.

it's a great place toeatwith an amazing beer selection on tap. they beer from all over the world and amazing service. oh, and the waitresses are smokin' hott.

excellent fries and burgers.. and they have an incredible amount of beer on tap. i suggest going on the world tour and try every beer, but for a calm day on the square, it's a great cheap place toeatand drink.
