saucey - in a really bad way. we were so excited to have a new fusion joint so close to home - until we went. we ordered short rib tacos and pork tacos - both meats were cooked earlier in the day and were served stone cold and congealed in a slightly warmed tortilla and drowning in sauces. when we told one of the employees the food wasn't hot, she slammed a bottle of hot sauce on the table and walked away. we also ordered the kimchee quesadilla which was warm all the way through but so covered in sauce as to be unrecognizable. the biggest problems attakokorean bbq all involved execution - i suspect if the person who created the menu were the person there cooking it we would have had a different experience. as it was we were tremendously disappointed and won't be back.

this past week, the old gas station re-opened astakokorean bbq, serving korean tacos, burritos, and rice bowls. i waited in line two days in a row as people poured into the tiny restaurant to try out their menu offerings, and it was well worth my wait when i had my first bite of their tofu tacos.
