went there for the first time during their lunch buffet and it was absolutely delicious! the employees were extremely friendly, asking for our names, giving us suggestions on the best food, and making sure we were taken of.greatplace and look forward to coming back!

“excellent food”. while traveling, we stopped in lexington in. when looking for a restaurant we saw that there was a relatively new indian restaurant called taj india it was not too far from the hotel so gave it a try. i cannot say enough good things about our experience. the waitress was very helpful to us ordering from a new menu. we have eaten indian cuisine all over the country and this was among best meals we have ever had. the menu was imaginative in that there were pleasant twists to some of the dishes a slightly different menu from so many other indian restaurants. the soup and appetizer were very good, the main courses were excellent and i just wish that we were able to take this restaurant home with us to ohio. everything was cooked to order and the spice levels were easily controlled by cooking that way. nothing was too hot or spicy. my only wish is that we were able to find such a good restaurant in many cities.

taj india exists to please its customers with the food. the decor and atmosphere are of less importance although nothing is wrong. it is just not a restaurant that presents itself as one ofgreatimportance. it is what it is and the food is what will be remembered.

whenever we go back that way, we will definitely stop there to eat. it is a gem. the local population is very fortunate.

cultural experience. very authentic tastes and varieties with up to date indian music. we had the buffet that had about 25 selections. didn't have much choice in healthier foods, but hadgreatchoices in delicious cultural foods that gave a nice experience.

excellent food,greatservice and wonderful masala chai tea. tried this place months ago due to a special on groupon, and love it! we have been back numerous times and have always had a wonderful meal.

their spice levels are right on. when you ask for hot, they have american hot and indian hot... the indian hot will clear your sinuses, but my dining partner loves it.

their garlic naan is fresh and full of garlic. it's very tasty. the hot masala chai tea is perfect. not to sweet,greatblend of spices and always fresh.

their lunch buffet is fresh, flavorful and reasonably priced.

great food and service!. my mom had never eaten indian food, so i was excited to find so many choices on the buffet so she could taste a variety. we also ordered from the menu and had a table full of food, our own little tasting party. everything was delicious, the service was excellent, and we'll definitely be back. my only concern was the empty restaurant at 1pm, but maybe dinner keeps them in business. if you work in the area, i think the buffet would be agreatlunch option!

can't wait to go back.....greatfirst experience......only complaint was the date i had!! ha!! can't wait to go here again, have only had indian food once before. thought the price was decent for food we got, but quality was excellent. waitress was friendly....only thing i didn't like was the ambiance i guess you could say. it was very bright inside, especially with the white walls, it is a very open place. we were planning to sit in bar area, but it didn't look very welcoming. there was a kid sitting at the big table coloring, which is fine....just could of been somewhere other than bar area. will for sure go back, maybe to try the lunch buffet, i've heard good things.

excellent deal!. indian food is usually much more expensive than other types of food making it more of an occasional food choice. however the prices here are low enough to make that no longer an issue. i worried that the price would effect the quality of the food but was pleasantly surprised. the food was excellent, the staff was friendly overall agreatexperience. however, do not go when you are in a real hurry as the one drawback is they aren't the fastest.

fresh!. just finished dining at taj india. it has been a while and now i am wondering why.greatservice and the naan. the naan was fresh and hot and even had a little crispy edge to it. we all enjoyed our dishes and happily recommend it to all.

bad service. the food is always good, but i have an issue with the service. i love indian food, i have loved it for over a decade. i tend to like my food spicy, but when i order a dish 'hot' here, the servers always give me a look like i can't mean that, say okay, and then bring me the mildest version of the dish. only once have a received a dish to the level of spicy i enjoy, and that was with a completely different server. i think they havegreatfood, but i won't be going back after receiving a mild dish for the fourth time after ordering it hot. please your customers, don't assume you know better than they do.

great authentic food andgreatatmosphere!! lunch and dinner is always satisfying in this restaurant.
