best place to hang out with friends and enjoygoodfood and drink. still serves some of the best sushi in durban. pizza's are always on point. and the wide range of cocktails and drinks are the best.

if you're craving agood(super sized) pizza then i would definitely recommend a visit to taco zulu. florida road is one of my favourite places in durban, mainly because of the high number of eating joints on this road.
my friend and i popped in for lunch here. the service was horrid, we were practically forgotten and had to flag down the waiters just to get them to help us.
however, the food was great. we had tacos, nachos and the manogrin pizza. we only got the medium size, but the table next to us got the table pizza and it is huge !

overall, agoodspot. hopefully the service is better out of peak season

overpriced and overrated. we ordered a beef burrito and a chicken quesadilla. the meat in the burrito was tough and the whole thing was a little bland. the quesadilla tastedgoodbut was oily. the sour cream and guacamole side tastedgoodbut was a stingy portion.

good vibe, average food.

if you're looking to have a boys/girls night out and happy to sacrifice fine dining for quick meals ... this is the place to be.

meal & milkshakes were divine. the music was a bit loud but then i suppose that's just old age on my part. agoodfirst experience at taco zulu and will be back to try the largest pizza in durban very soon! :-) ;-)

taco zulu !!!

a place where the biggest pizza's are found and its fascinating to see this huge pizza on your table.

the pizza's are reallygoodand its really nice that you could get two different pizza types on one platform.

we had ordered a chicken type and a vegetarian type, the food wasgood!!!

i ended up here one evening recently with two girlfriends, and there was a full on party happening both upstairs and downstairs around us which was really festive. 

taco zulu "mexican grill & cocktail bar", to me, has the perfect location as florida road is renowned for its excellent vibe, but sadly that is where it ends. what confuses me though is that i am not too sure what taco zulu is trying to be and it cheapens their brand.. are we taco sushi, taco pizza or taco mexican (as the name and logo implies)? i also am agoodtipper, but don't like it when a mandatory 10% is added to my bill for a meal just because we spent over r600 (which can be done easily these days) and it grated me that much more because our service received on this visit was really terrible. 

anyway, the cocktails weregoodand we managed to capitalize on their 4-7pm cocktail special so it was worth the visit although i am not sure that i would return.

guys for real though, theres somegoodpizzas here. everything else not so much but the pizzas are proper. not a bad vibe for a chill day andgooddrinks.

pretty cool place, they were full up when we got there but returned later and they had a table for us. there was a bachelorettes party in full swing inside and the girls were drinking and dancing and having agoodtime. the brandy and cola is donners expensive.

had a reallygoodtime here. the vibe is super chilled and great for cocktails at sunset. their cocktails are devine with super service. we had the platter with everything on and it had the best crumbed calamari i have ever had. the mexican-japanese is a little unnecessary, just the mexican side would have been more than enough

taco zulu is always so busy and has a great vibe on weekends. they are known for their large pizzas. due to it being busy the service can be slow however the waiters are so friendly. the bottom area is loud and busy and the upstairs has a sushi bar which is more relaxing and quieter. it is a great spot to grab some drinks and sushi or pizza with some friends. on this particular visit we ordered tuna roses, crab california rolls and salmon fashion sandwiches. the sushi wasgoodhowever we felt that the wasabi lacked flavour. we also ordered some nachos which were fresh and crispy and not too cheesy. it was accompanied with cream, guacamole, and a salsa. we also ordered the vegan pizza as a take away. it was a focaccia that was topped with rocket, onion, mushrooms and avo. it wasgoodhowever lacked flavour or spices.

great tunes with an excellent menu. the cocktail menu has agoodmix at reasonable prices. the mexican food was great and at a reasonable price.

i went back today for my favourite taco but the waiter tricked me by telling me about a burrito special. it soundedgoodat the time but when my bill arrived, i was charged r50 extra!! apparently the waiter mentioned it but i didn't hear??? yeah right. i was not pleased at all!

from my last review, i maintain that the whole set up is a bit tacky and the service isn't all that great either but the naughty amigo tacos are to die for so i'd recommend getting them as a takeaway.

not being from durban, i wanted to try the table sized pizza which led a group of 6 of us to head here last night. we were seated outside and had to move tables because there was a leak in the roof. after resettling we orded a jug called the pink panty pulldown. it was tasty but a bit too watered down with ice. the service was extremely slow.

we ordered the large pizza. the nice thing is that we could order each half as a different pizza. we went with chicken tikka on half, spinach and feta on the other. the pizza really is huge and i found the base to be a bit hard. everyone enjoyed and was stuffed after once slice.

overall the experience was enjoyable despite the slow service.goodvalue for money on the pizza.
