tl dr: was great everything , now has bad service and hygiene

let me preface this with, this used to be my favoritebreakfastresturant and the food is quite tasty.
i went in forbreakfastwith my girlfriend. we are seated right away and waitress walks up and say's "what can i get you" we start to order egg whites and she stops us "let me check if we have egg whites" we snickered at the prospect of a dedicatedbreakfastrestaurant that boast about its eggs benedict being "out" of egg whites but sure enough she came back to inform us that they are out. confused we asked you have eggs? right? apparently they will make eggs poached, fried scrambled, over easy, sunny side up, or blanched, but egg whites are to much work when they are "busy", should state the latest this is 10 am on a monday morning and the restaurant is not even half full.
ultimately this would not be a big deal however it is the culmination of a steady decline of quality of service and hygiene. other times i have been in and watched the owner scoop ice with his bare hand.
it used to be a great place to go, as i said it was my favorite, but at this point it's not worth going back.

as far as naming a restaurant after a pancake topping, i suppose "syrup" has a slightly better connotation than "butter."

first try atbreakfastin denver, and i will be looking elsewhere next time. was hoping for some awesome pancakes/ french toast since the name of this joint implies that's their specialty. turns out the food is just ok. ironically the syrup was my least favorite part, they do have different kinds though. service wasn't great either which doesn't help. at least the wait wasn't long and the food wasn't overpriced.

my wife loved the french toast but i had a taste - free burger. the salad was unimaginative so i guess to make up for it's blandness, they give you a lot of it so you have a lot of lousy salad. lesson learned. don't order lunch at abreakfastjoint. as it was my first time there, i don't want to be overly critical - my dining partners (all of whom ordered variousbreakfastitems) seemed pleased with their dishes. the corned beef hash looked hearty and the toasted croissant was well prepared. could've just been an angry cow, but if i go back, it will not be for a lunch.

wouldnt eat here if it were for free..if they delivered on their menu as listed they would be great.. 8 of us went forbreakfastfriday after thanksgiving. they sat us at tables in the sun we couldnt see each other as,were talking, then after complaining we were moved, the food showed up in generous portion bht lukewarm and over cooked, dry. my dish was suoposed to have blackened shrimp, instead i had over cooked boiled hard shrimp and terrible hadhbrowns.. would not eat here again.

love this place. best newbreakfastplace in town!! not only that but we went back for our fourth time and i finally tried lunch which was just as great as the breakfast. the staff is always pleasant and the atmosphere is great!! not only will i make it my weekend brunch but i have a local business and think its a great place to get some food during work as well as hold my business meetings.

bestbreakfastbet. the food and service here is consistently good. the menu has plenty of delicious options and i often have a hard time choosing because i know they are all so good. my advice one person gets savory, the other sweet, and share! like the strawberry french toast and the california eggs benedict.

great new neighborhood restaurant. we loved it! you have to try the corned beef. best i've ever had. this is our new favoritebreakfastplace.
