definitely depends on which donut you try. they rotate the menu so some of the flavours are not as good as others. i recommend getting a half dozen (no tax on 6 or more) and sharing them with friends to see which flavours you like. the dough is perfect and the store is adorable. my favourite is the london fog donut.

doughnuts. best donuts i've ever had. brought a box of six home to share with my roommates and i couldn't choose which one to eat.
want to impress someone? buy donuts from here!

one step inside the tiny store front of suzy q doughnuts, intoxicated by the aroma of sugar and yeast, all effort at self-restraint is wiped away.  you’ll find yourself swooning like a five year-old over fresh doughnuts lining the glass case with colour and gooey delight. for those who love light, yeast risen doughnuts deep fried to perfection then topped with all manner of finger licking goodness, this is a shop to stop.  a place to let your inner child run rampant and renew one’s faith in humanity.   somewhere there’s someone brave enough to take on the corporate doughnut makers of the world with a good recipe and a scrappy sense of adventure.  and that’s what i love about the movement of food at the moment; the return of the artisan and the craftsman to the kitchen.  because of them we have a range of delights that smack of home. suzy q brought back colour faded memories of hot summer days spent standing

donuts ok, hygene needs improvement. donuts are good, but not amazing, maple bacon donuts could use a bit more maple (maybe in the icing vice it being just glazed with bacon bits)

staff serving out front should be wearing hair nets. this afternoons' server had long "bangs" that were loose in his face and in very close proximity to the open donuts.

cute little, very ottawa place.

just okay.. i went here for the second time and i really don't get it. it's basically a so-so yeast doughnut with a handful of cereal on top. from the way people are speaking, i was expecting donut plant or voodoo type quality.

a definite must try, sure they are doughnuts, but they have some pretty amazing flavours which are delicious! i haven't been dissapointed once! guests and visitors will be super impressed with this little place, you wouldn't even know it's there!

their website is awesome and tells you current/possible flavours which i think last up to a month.

little annoyed that they won't take my pre-order for a birthday party. i called suzy qs and asked if they would set aside some donuts for my daughter's birthday party, she really wants donuts instead of a cake. they refused as the order is less than 2 dozen saying that 'it's not fair to those people who are here at 7:00'. i was willing pay in advance for my order, and they have plenty of time to simply bake more donuts satisfying all those people who are there at 7:00 in the morning, while earning my business in the process. my daughter and her friends have their hearts set on particular donuts, if they're not available when we arrive we'll have one very disappointed little girl on her birthday.

a small trailer-esque shop parked in hintonburg, suzyq is devoted to the art of doughnut-making, using local ingredients to create a plethora of eccentric and delicious goodies that you can't resist trying. clockwise from bottom-left: peppered pineapple, maple bacon, mango lassi, cookies n' cream ($2 each) prices are decently set at $2 each, $10 for a half dozen, or $20 for a dozen. with a few flavours fresh out of the oven, we decided to try the peppered pineapple , maple bacon , mango lassi , and cookies n' cream . while they were delicious, the hype and amazing flavour names left more to be desired when we finally took our first bites. at $2 each though, we can't really complain. hintonburger also situated in hintonburg, is the superbly-named hintonburger , a classic diner complete with vintage, red leather booths, tiled walls, and take-out window. picnic tables can also be found outside for an authentic summer experience.

i don't get it. i had heard so much about this place and finally tried it. boring donuts that all tasted the same. a good raspberry cassis, but otherwise i couldn't taste any lime, maple, or hardly even bacon! yes, the dough is very nice, but that's not why i'm there. should have saved half the money and gone to tim's.

suzie q reintroduces the lost art of the yeast doughnut (not donut) back into fashion. they are light, doughy, nicely leavened and not overly sweet. in fact, you can take the yeast in the dough. as far as designer doughnuts go, they are well worth the $2/each or the $10/6 price tag.

great for a dinner party. we took 15 assorted to a dinner party for 10 people, cut each doughnut in half, and sat back to receive all the compliments.

not an elegant dessert, but oh so tasty.

but get there early on saturdays if you'd like a decent selection.
