too pricey for what you get. this was my first time eating colombian food, so i can't say how authentic it was. i can't remember the name of what i ordered, but it was basically a very thin slice of pan-seared steak with sauteed onions served on top of white rice. it came with a small bowl of red beans, a small side salad, and out of a choice of sweet plantains, yucca,or tostones, i ordered sweet plantains.
while i can't complain about the taste, i did feel like the red beans and rice needed something extra. the waiter brought out a cold onion/cilantro/chili salsa, which helped add some extra flavor to the dish.
the other two in my party: one ordered something with chicken and instead it arrived with steak. she enjoyed it anyway, but not sure how they mixed up chicken and steak. also, she ordered a side of yucca, which was disappointing because it was two small pieces of fried yucca. that's it.
the other ordered a colombian gyro (with lamb) with fries. while he said the gyro was good, he was expecting it to have a colombian twist. instead, it tasted just like a greek gyro except for being served with guacamole on the side. the french fries were delicious, though.
for dessert, we shared a lemon cake which was drizzled with chocolate sauce and i think it had shaved white chocolate on top. it was tasty.
i felt like the food was good, but too expensive for the quality of what you get. however, the waiter was friendly and helpful and the service was failry prompt.
