you never know when you will stumble upon that special place!. being in the hospitality industry its our job to discover the special places around the world. my wife and i had been exploring the south when we came upon a beautiful little city in la (lower alabama), fairhope. when we checked with our hotel concierge, they told us about a local celebrity chef who just opened a new spot in the marina. of course, at first we were a bit apprehensive but when we pulled up the building and location were beautiful. had a great location right on the water, with seating area around the fire pit and even a tented area to sit outside. we chose to sit inside at one of the tall bar tables and get a feel for the locals. themenuis packed with local gulf seafood and prepared in a unique fashion. while we tried so many great items on the menu, a few really blew my mind. you have to try the snapper throat and the gulf coast bbq shrimp, its always nice to find a great chef who can take the simple items and transform them into amazing! the broth from the shrimp can cure anything. coming from los angeles to find this restaurant was a nice surprise.
