sunset pointe

too many times i've been to restaurants with great views but lousy food. however sunset pointe at fly creek have the location, sunset views and the food was excellent. we ordered the grouper bights and crab-meat-balls to start. they were fantastic! the fresh pineapple salsa really complemented the flavor of the grilled swordfish. we were surprised with a complimentary bread pudding with blueberry compote for my friend's birthday. the staff were very friendly and attentive. i had a wonderful evening with one of my best friends!

one of the perks of living on the gulf coast is the proximity of quaint little towns that are a short drive away. a great way to spend a beautiful saturday is exploring these small towns with their shops and restaurants. often you can find hidden gems that are on the brink of discovery. you never know what outstanding talent and superb cuisines you may discover in these small towns.

what a pleasant surprise!!! this was our first visit and we will absolutely be back!!! the view and overall atmosphere is great. we had the seared tuna nachos for an appetizer and they were very delicious! our waitress recommended the eastern shore bouillabaisse and it was one of the best things i have ever eaten! i was a little skeptical at first, but that broth is to die for!!!!

we brought out of town friends and we all were so disappointed in our meals. the grouper lunch special was tough and fishy tasting. no way that was really grouper.

had the fried snapper throats and they were amazing. also had the tuna nachos, and it was so light and delicious. the view is gorgeous and the infused cocktails help it be even more relaxing. would definitely go back.

delish!!! rhubarb bread pudding amazing. service excellent. crab balls are out of this world! the food here is so fresh and the portions are perfect. i will definitely go back.

ate there last night and it was awesome!!! the wine is a bit pricey but the food more than makes up for it. we had the crab meat balls which were loaded with crab meat and i loved that each one came with a different sauce. the real star of the meal was the shrimp dish with the tomato broth....i could just drink the broth! i swear we asked if we could just order the broth with no shrimp (the shrimp were big, with good flavor) because the flavor was just so amazing!!!! i'll be back very soon just for that dish!

i ate here on my way to point clear for a work conference.  the reviews sounded enticing and the opportunity to see a beautiful sunset was a bonus.  my dining companion and i were seated outside on the patio which was cool due to fans and misters.  we ordered a bottle of rose and the crab meat balls to start. the bottle of wine was brought out to the wrong table as well as the appetizer.  it appeared they had entered the wrong table number.  the appetizer came with three meat balls on a bed of three different kinds of sauce.  two of three sauces were way too salty.  so salty, in fact that they detracted from the flavor of the crab meat.  i ordered the sunset pointe salad with gulf shrimp and my companion ordered the mussels.  the mussels were huge and almost looked like they had been pumped full of hormones.  they were much too large for the dish.  the broth was lacking in flavor and the bread served in the side as the vessel for eating the mussels wasn't toasted making it very difficult to eat.  the salad was tasty but the shrimp on top didn't appear to be gulf shrimp.  they were small and appeared to have been previously frozen.  they were supposed to have been grilled but i think they were sautéed and were over salted and seasoned.  overall, the atmosphere was nice and the rose was good but the food was mediocre.

honestly, the best restaurant on the eastern shore...remarkable food, great drinks and service, and beautiful atmosphere. i have been several times, and it never disappoints. my absolute favorite is the bbq shrimp appetizer. i always have to ask for extra bread to soak up the juice! we had the red snapper, couscous, and fresh veggies tonight, and it was cooked to perfection. as well, a new addition to the menu, grilled oysters with crab meat and garlic butter were divine. you can't go wrong here. all for a very reasonable price.

this restaurant has an excellent location and nice casual atmosphere. also the waitress was very good and attentive.
the food was soso. the menu described our sandwiches to be served on focaccia and it they were on ordinary buns. the grilled slaw? don't get it. i would go back for drinks and atmosphere but not food 3

this place is not geared towards children. it's a shame because being on the water, this could be a great place to boat up to. if your children "run around", you will be reprimanded. very expensive too. i was there 2 days ago. for 3 girls our tab was $>180.  granted, we each had 2 specialty drinks for $8.50 each, one appetizer at $12, one dessert @ $7.50...but good grief....didn't plan on taking a second mortgage out to pay for dinner.  i was there for a friend's birthday so tab was split 2 ways. don't think this place will last since they are not kid friendly.

staff was very friendly. we got to sit outside and it is beautiful. the snapper was perfect. chef came out and said hello.

excellent customer service, great food and wonderful sunset. we were staying at the grand but this was our favorite dinner of the week!
