overall - sugar 'n' spice wasn't shockingly great - but it was good. it's very cute and i'd definitely go back. i think it's the kind of place that is consistent and probably has something that you'll think is awesome - just wasn't either of these items.

great breakfast. those who think they might be a little rude you might be right but think of it as the "spice" part of sugar and spice. enjoyed our first visit. hubby and i shared an omelette, he had a stack of 4 pancakes and i had 2... they are so good. place could use better cleaning in areas but other than that's it's amazing!

best omelet ever!. i went here over all of the hype about their wispy thin pancakes, but the omelets are the star of this show. don't get me wrong, the pancakes are good, but they were small for the price (2 for $3). but like i said, get an omelet. i went with the western omelet for $9.75. yes, that's expensive for an omelet in the hood. but it was worth every penny. they must've used a dozen eggs to make this thing. it was huge and fluffy and perfectly cooked. it had tons of ham, cheese, green peppers and onions inside. i didn't even come close to finishing it.

the service was great. fast and friendly, although a little rough around the edges. the restaurant is very busy so plan on being there awhile. a lot of people ordered "to go" but breakfast food never tastes the same when you do that. the neighborhood isn't the best, but they have a good parking lot and i don't think you will have any problems here. give them a try sometime. and get an omelet.

great!. i can't believe i have lived my entire life in cincinnati and have never been to sugar n' spice until about a month ago. we headed over to the parkside cafe in walnut hills but it was closed for easter. i remembered my coworker mentioning a little pink place on reading so we decided to check it out. there was no wait which was nice. there was so much that looked good on the menu we decided to try a few different things. my friend had the steak and eggs and a side of goetta. i had the breakfast special (eggs, pancakes, choice of meat) and home fries. the pancakes were awesome! my friend's steak was cooked perfectly, he never seems to have much luck when it comes to that! i don't eat pork so i was very happy that they offer turkey sausage. everything was great and we will definitely be back, there is much more we'd like to try.

sugar n’ spice is best described as a bright and colorful diner. i said that sleepy bee cafe was commendable because they knew their dna, meaning their know and embrace their identity, and sugar n’ spice is just the same. they take the colorful, welcoming, family friendly, comfort food angle and they run with it.

while this diner is bursting at the seams with personality, the food really does deliver. this is a spot that is well worth a special kind of trip.

sugar ‘n spice food review.

there is just something about these pancakes. my husband and i have been coming to this place for years, it never even occurred to me to review this restaurant. its a neighborhood gem! either way, we headed in for takeout saturday morning and got food. i ordered the special: 2 wispy thin pancakes, eggs & bacon and my mr got a full order of wispy thins and bacon. they were ready pretty quick and we were on our way. we typically eat in and they are always crazy busy but the staff is great about serving and attending to everyone and even making folks feel special. one reason i don’t love to take breakfast to go is that it cools quickly, but my mr is the take out king, lol! our food was still hot when we got home, so it must have came straight off the griddle! the pancakes were hot and delicious and i was happy i could use homemade syrup on my wispy thins. no shade to theirs, but i make a mean buttered syrup, lol! our bacon was exceptional. had us wondering what kind it was, we want more! my eggs were cheesy and dense, just like i like them. i love how eating at s 'n s is like eating at my grandmother’s house!

saw this place on talk of town and had to visit. this is the best breakfast that cincinnati has to offer. the prices are reasonable about $10-12 for specialty omelettes. i got the mexican omelette and it was cooked to perfection and was ready in about 10 minutes. you will not be disappointed by this place. will be going back soon.

this place is crazy busy on the weekends but the food is so worth it! i love to stop in on a day off during the week and sit right down. i have had the pancakes which are thin and yet fluffy. i have had the hash and eggs and loved it. and of course the omelets! just stuffed with what you order and cooked to perfection! and the servers are very nice! is it too silly to mention the little ducks?!?

you can't miss this place if you happen to drive by, what with the exterior painted in pepto-bismol pink

pretty decent restaurant for breakfast, and very popular on the weekends.  i would not recommend the corned beef hash, as that appears to come fresh out of a can, but i would recommend their so-called "wispy thin' pancakes, as those are pretty darned good.

seating is kinda limited and very tightly spaced

worth the wait!. i think i may have found a new regular saturday brunch spot! i had heard good things about sugar n' spice, but had never made the time to try to find it as it's kind of out of the way for me. i'm so glad that i finally made the trip - there was a bit of a wait for a seat, but it was worth it! their pancakes are excellent, omelets are huge and fluffy, the coffee is good and the servers and owner are all super friendly and accommodating. sure the space is a little cramped, but honestly, that just made the experience more fun and charming - kinda a small-town diner feeling. i got to talk to a few of their other customers that are regulars; everyone was happy and everyone seemed to enjoy their food. i'd go back in a heartbeat.
