stoneycreekis the place where everyone knows your name. me and my family have been regulars at stoney and most everyone that comes in is a regular.at stoneycreekyou become apart of the family we talk across the room and everyone knows everyone.. we love the food and onwers & staff are the best. the cream of crab is to dead for and the soft shell platter when in season is all i want the entire season. i can't pick just one thing. come be apart of this place come try it for your self sit back and relax.

a neighborhood favorite!. we've been eating at stoneycreekinn shortly after bill and mary bought the restaurant. it very quickly became one of our favorite places to grab a bite to eat. everything on the menu if made to order, fresh and seasoned just right!
if you're looking for a stuffy fine dining experience, don't go to stoneycreekinn. you'll find the atmosphere warm and welcoming. the staff is courteous, friendly and very attentive.
we've tried many of the items on the menu and last evening, we decided to try the steamed crabs. we weren't disappointed! fat, juicy crabs, steamed perfectly and not overly seasoned.
if you haven't tried stoney creek, you should! definitely try the cucumber salad, and the hand cut sweet potato fries as sides.
we'll continue to patronize stoney creek, even if it does mean going around the long way while the stoneycreekbridge is under repair.

some people. my wife and i have been going to stoneycreekfor years . always great food and outstanding service . its our favorite place to eat and we live 30 miles away . i see these other reviews , they cant be going to the same place we go !

small town delicious. i've been to the stoneycreekinn three times now. the first time was due to its appearance on ddd with my wife. i had the crab cake which was great and had very little filler. it was perfectly crisped and brown on the outside and filled with perfect, lumped blue crab. the last two times, i had the stoneycreekburger, and its by far my favorite. it's a bacon cheeseburger covered with crab dip and all the fixings....awesome. i usually get the homemade old bay potato chips as a side. they're always warm and freshly prepared. the inn also has a decent selection of beers on tap. highly recommended!

beware - don't bring your kids!!. we live in pasadena, and have heard great things about their crab cakes. so, we decided to take the family there tonight. never had a chance to taste the food. by the second time of "somebody who must have never had kids of their own", came over and told our 2 year old son "to keep it down" we were done! he was being a typical 2 year old boy - having fun and coloring. so, needless to say, stoneycreekwill never be in our plans again. and, i will be sure to spread the word to everyone i know! by the way, people we talk to now, say we never missed much and that place is way overrated. personally, we enjoyed our fish filet at mcdonald's! my kids could just be kids!

one in a millon taste !!!!!. have heard great things about stoneycreekand had to taste for myself so my wife and i decided to try a new place and guy talk about in the place was warm and very friendly our waitress wonderful "melody" let us know just what the specials were and made us fill at home thank you for the great service and food from the stuff fish the soups the salads just perfect brought food home for a family member and they just love it too thanks so much once again i will tell all my friends and family just how great a job everyone is doing keep it up !!!!!!! :-)

don"t go there!!!. i made a reservation two days in advance and when we arrived, we were told that we are only allow 1 1/2 hour to eat, which we agree to but the crabs took forever to cook and they only leave us half hour to finish our 2 dozen crabs. the crabs were not all that to be, you are better off heading to captain james crab house, great service and food! i will never go to stoneycreekagain!!! also this is not children friendly place, i saw the lady behind the counter yelled at a costumer with a toddler!

not family friendly!. yes, there are still really families, mine includes 5 children for a toal of 7. we were in pasadena and had seen the stoneycreekinn on the "diners, dives and drive'ins" series so we were excited about eating there. we arrived about 4:45 on a sunday afternoon and despite a filled lot we were promptly greeted by the hostess who i recognized as the owner from the show. she immediately frowned when i told her a party of 7! she came back to advise that she only had a table for 6 and that we should have made reservations! i understood the issue, but she presented it in such a way that she was implying for us to leave?? she provided no options like adding an extra seat? we really didn't want to abandon one of our kids and adoption wasn't an option either? so i said to her "i guess you don't want us to eat here? we received no reply and she turned away so we left. based on this experience i doubt that we will ever consume the alleged "fabulous" cuisine of stoney creek!! in an era of economic downturn it is sad to see that families are unwelcome at such an establishment. so we wont be back and we will buy our crabs elsewhere and eat them in our backyard at our six person picnic table. however, we are forunate in that we can add a chair to allow seven with only minimal effort! by the way we did see at least three empty picnic tables at the inn on our way out and even some extra chairs!!!!!

great find. tucked away next to the stoneycreekbridge is this little gem. truely a family owned and operated business. the portions are generous and the seafood is so fresh you would think that they went out to the dock in front of the joint and caught it.
very very relaxed atmosphere was there with my two angels and the little extra noise they made didn't seem to disrupt the restaurant or our waitress.
the crab toast is amazing. i have since gone back a few times to just get carry-out orders of crab toast
