not good service,foodor a good experience. at all. can’t believe they can compete in pako. they need to seriously step it up on all levels! but we won’t be back!

service, what service?. was recommended by a work colleague, the service, coffee &foodwas terrible.
lift your game or you will not survive.

i have been to this cafe many times and usually i am very pleased with the service and quality of the meals. however, the last couple of times i have been to sticks and grace cafe i have been completely disappointed. the quality offoodhas gone downhill significantly, with many of the meals coming out on dirt plates. there has also been an obvious change over in front of house staff that is bringing the cafes reputation down. the experience i've had with the current staff has been quite concerning as they seem to lack respect and professionalism. sticks and grace is no longer a cafe that i recommend.

average small portioned overpricedfoodcombined with sourpuss staff make this one to avoid. coffee is good though i will give credit there.

i ordered the "grace" breakfast. from their menu:

"bacon, two poached eggs, relish, avocado, hash browns. sourdough"

the staff were lovely. the cafe has a really pleasant set up.foodcame out in a timely fashion.

my brekkie looked nice on the plate and the eggs were obviously poached well. i broke through the lovely looking eggs to let them soak into the bread.

the disappointment for me was that the relish that was pre-slathered on the bread under the eggs had a heavy indian curry flavour so there was no way to just push it to the side if you weren't a fan of curry eggs at brekkie, especially when the menu doesn't mention the curry part of the relish.

having said that, if i was aware of the indian curry flavour would be the base of the dish, i'd probably recommend this as a supper breakfast, if you like curry. the flavours were good.

comment when paying got a bland response. unlike the curried chutney.

had brekky here and it was delicious, would deff return. the menu has a great selection and the staff are nice too! overall i am happy with my dining experience, we used the entertainment voucher which helped lower the cost but if we didn't have the voucher i prob would be commenting that it is a little on the expensive side. but having said that thefoodis good! thumbs up from me!

gem of a cafe. gorgeous little unassuming cafe in busy pakington street where cafe competition is fierce. coffee is excellent andfoodis a whole new level of delicious. the menu is varied and always leaves me with a difficult to decision to make. prices are reasonable and portion sizes large, giving a feel of real value for money when factoring in the deliciousness. the service is generally very good, only once have i felt that a staff member wasn't as pleasant as they could be. that said, they were polite, just not as friendly as they could have been compared to other staff. it can get very busy at peak times, however the wait time for meals is pretty reasonable and definitely worth it. can't help but wonder if some of the negative reviews are from rival cafes in the area? just a thought.

i have been here twice and both times were great. thefoodis nice and so is the drinks.
my first time was for afternoon tea with a english breakfast tea and a lemon slice, kids had milkshakes each. kids loved their milkshakes an i like the fact they were in small glasses not huge ones.
second time was for lunch, i had a breaky tortilla chips to share an kids wanted the pancakes.
great service, greatfoodand i did the kids pancakes and they were yum.
highly recommend.

went back to sticks & grace today after a long absence... menu very boring, lunch took 45 minutes to arrive & was really no better than what you would get at afoodcourt. staff completely indifferent to our wait, didn't seem to be bothered & we were certainly not the only ones waiting forever for our meals. really gone downhill.

popped into sticks & grace for breakfast today, had previously only been for coffee. was a fabulous experience, thefoodwas absolutely delicious. i had the breakfast tortilla - eggs, bacon, spinach & relish. splendid!!! i tried my sisters mushrooms & spinach toast, equally as tasty. the wait staff were really friendly. atmosphere welcoming & warm... i'll be back any day now.

delectable eatery-busy and great food. busy? yes...but of course!! that is because people like thefoodand keep coming back. i know i have enjoyed breakfasts there on many occasions.
delectable pancakes served with combinations of creamy yoghurt and homemade style compotes of various fruits..probably the best combo in geelong for this particular offering. if you wish to enjoy chai tea then this one has it covered also. or if you need a hearty egg, bacon and various additions to that it is on offer and is better than most i have had in geelong. a great stable eatery for breakfast and lunch.
i have never had bad service and staff have never been grumpy. in fact quite the opposite experience for me. they have bent over backwards to accommodate a large group and been helpful when it came to handling the bill and do take the entertainment vouchers with *grace*.
well done to this business for being a mainstay within the geelong area when it comes to eating out!

sunday morning breakfast. after reading other reviews was expecting the worst but it could not have been better. service was great, happy to make changes to meals andfoodwas super yummy!! will be back!

let it be known that this the first time i've done this, but for this circumstance i felt it necessary. last week some girlfriends from work and i made a little trip out to get out of the office for lunch. when we ordered the waitress told us that there would be a 20min wait on food, we were apprehensive but decided to stay, 40 mins later we looked at the time and realized we needed to be back in the office in 10 min so we went into to confront the staff on where ourfoodwas. apparently it was in the toaster, we had ordered 3 toasted sandwiches. the waitress explained that they had extra busy because they were the only cafe opened in the street (it was in between xmas and new years) my thought was, well get some more people in. ourfoodwas finally handed to us and we were charged at full price, $14 for a toasted sandwich! i was in such shock and so keen to get back to work that paid it and left. i opened the minute takeaway container as i got in the car and was flabagasted as to how incrediably long this extremely overpriced, uninspiring toasted sandwich with 2 fillings, (ham and cheese) had taken to make.

the worstfoodand worst service i've had. it's not worth going to.
