unhappy long time customer. i went to terracecafetoday; it's one of my favorite places to go for lunch in town. this visit however, i noticed two religious items on display at the host stand. i go to terrace for a great meal, good service, and pleasant ambience. i do not think a restaurant is an appropriate place for religious items such as i saw there and sincerely hope the management of terrace will remove these.

food, ambience, and service is always awesome.

pyschologist. terrancecafeat south park has great food and a pretty interior. however, they have poor customer service. their servers are very inattentive and lack the essence of what it means to serve people. their management also fall short of delivering quality service. very disappointed with this establishment in terms of service.

terrace café offers a wide variety of options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. while waiting, we noticed that most of the dishes coming out of the kitchen were breakfast. although they looked appetizing, we opted for lunch. we started with an appetizer of fried green tomatoes served with a warm pimento cheese dip.  fried green tomatoes the fried green tomatoes arrived quickly and were crispy outside and tender inside with a slight vinegary taste. they were great. even my wife, who really doesn’t like tomatoes, enjoyed them. i think they could serve the cheese dip on anything and it would be great.

in town for a couple of days and stopped at terracecafefor breakfast twice. great eggs benedict florentine and sweet potato hash. friendly service and good family atmosphere.

chicken & waffles...need i say more?. i went to lunch here with a friend one afternoon and entered a cute littlecafewith quaint decor. we sat on the 2nd floor mezzanine area and the surroundings were quite enjoyable. i ordered chicken & waffles and was very happy with everything. the service was very attentive and the prices were average for the area. it's definitley worth visiting again. would be great for business lunches during the week or date night with the hubby on weekends.

lastly, i ate breakfast at terrace café near taco mac in south park. it was actually very good.

one of the best breakfasts in town!. after reading the positive review for terracecafein charlotte magazine, my hubby and i knew we had to try them for breakfast. and not only are really glad we did, we expect to return often (even though it's a bit of hike for us)!

just be forewarned that you should expect a wait. terracecafeis totally worth the wait, though. they are also very efficient, so our expected 30-minute wait for a table on a sunday turned into just 20 minutes.

to start, they have a full espresso bar with options that few other restaurants have -- like the white chocolate blackberry mousse latte that my husband got, or the pumpkin spice latte that i got. both were yummy, but the pumpkin was a tad sweeter than my hubby's white chocolate blackberry.

for the meal, i got the red velvet waffle with cream cheese topping and fruit. i loved the fact that the fruit was served room temperature and not ice cold, like i usually get it. the fruit was also a nice selection of blackberries, raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, pineapple, melon, and kiwi. the waffle was a perfect-sized portion but could have used a bit more cream cheese topping. (i like my toppings sweet!) i'll probably ask for an extra bit the next time.

my hubby got the full breakfast with two fried eggs, bacon, hash browns, and chocolate chip pancakes. the choco pancakes were light and delicious and probably my favorite thing out of everything we got. i also loved that they served the syrup heated. what a nice touch! we were both really impressed by the entire meal. (and did i already say the coffee was yummy? i swear, bad coffee can absolutely destroy a good meal!)

service was really quick, and we did not have to wait long for the meal to arrive. our server was also extremely attentive and checked back with us several times to make sure we were happy. we really appreciated that.

it's great that terracecafeis open for breakfast on both saturdays and sundays. so few places in charlotte offer breakfast on saturdays! they have the winning combination of great coffee, delicious food, and quick and attentive service...we'll definitely be back!

always good food!. i have been a professional chef for 17 years and do not like very many restaurants food. i have been to terracecafe3 times for breakfast and all the food has been properly prepared. i like a good breakfast. this kitchen knows what they are doing!

terracecafeis a winner. terracecafehas everything going for it. the food, the staff, the decor are all first class. stewart penick did everything right when he opened up his new restaurant in south park. from black linen napkins to coca cola products, this will be one of my favorite spots to dine in charlotte.
