soooo yum!. first good sign for brunch, when i showed up there was a line of people waiting out the door to eat! i sat at the bar which has a full menu. i had the smores french toast with a side of turkey bacon. the smores french toast are ingenious. they were sooo good and filling. i took half home forbreakfasttomorrow!:) the bacon was good. they also gave me some mini butter biscuits with jalapeño jelly to snack on while i waited. the biscuits were delicious and the jelly was different but very good!! the service was great and very friendly! will definitely be back soon!

for that upscale feeling.... this is definitely one of the nicer places to eatbreakfastwith nice decor and clean bathrooms that offer complimentary mouthwash. my husband found their s'mores french toast to be a tasty delight but very sweet. it does not come with any sides so he ordered a side of bacon which we found to be a bit overpriced (just three regular to small pieces for $3.50). i would suggest you take into consideration that just because their sides are pricey, it does not mean they will make it up in quantity or size.

the shrimp and grits was both our favorite dish. you may have had shrimp and grits but definitely not this one. the grits are warm and earthy, the shrimp perfectly cooked and everything is tied together with a tangy yet not overbearing bbq sauce, sauteed peppers, fried okra and a texturally pleasing mixture of chorizo sausage finished with a cheesy note. what a great way to start the morning.

berry good breakfast. one of these days i'll branch out and try the red velvet waffle orbreakfastcasserole, but i just can't stop ordering the berry split... granola, yogurt, bananas, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, strawberries and coffee cake... yum. i just had it this morning, and writing about it makes me want another one.

breakfast is good, lunch not so much. my first time there i got the daily quiche with fruit. it was incredible. most recently i got the turkey sandwich, which was dry and lacking flavor. i've learned my lesson... when everyone around you is eating delicious lookingbreakfastitems, don't opt for an over-priced sandwich.

one of the best breakfasts in town!. after reading the positive review for terrace cafe in charlotte magazine, my hubby and i knew we had to try them for breakfast. and not only are really glad we did, we expect to return often (even though it's a bit of hike for us)!

just be forewarned that you should expect a wait. terrace cafe is totally worth the wait, though. they are also very efficient, so our expected 30-minute wait for a table on a sunday turned into just 20 minutes.

to start, they have a full espresso bar with options that few other restaurants have -- like the white chocolate blackberry mousse latte that my husband got, or the pumpkin spice latte that i got. both were yummy, but the pumpkin was a tad sweeter than my hubby's white chocolate blackberry.

for the meal, i got the red velvet waffle with cream cheese topping and fruit. i loved the fact that the fruit was served room temperature and not ice cold, like i usually get it. the fruit was also a nice selection of blackberries, raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, pineapple, melon, and kiwi. the waffle was a perfect-sized portion but could have used a bit more cream cheese topping. (i like my toppings sweet!) i'll probably ask for an extra bit the next time.

my hubby got the fullbreakfastwith two fried eggs, bacon, hash browns, and chocolate chip pancakes. the choco pancakes were light and delicious and probably my favorite thing out of everything we got. i also loved that they served the syrup heated. what a nice touch! we were both really impressed by the entire meal. (and did i already say the coffee was yummy? i swear, bad coffee can absolutely destroy a good meal!)

service was really quick, and we did not have to wait long for the meal to arrive. our server was also extremely attentive and checked back with us several times to make sure we were happy. we really appreciated that.

it's great that terrace cafe is open forbreakfaston both saturdays and sundays. so few places in charlotte offerbreakfaston saturdays! they have the winning combination of great coffee, delicious food, and quick and attentive service...we'll definitely be back!

great all-around experience! my husband & i had sundaybreakfastand loved the food, drinks, atmosphere, and service. we shared the lobster benedict and turkey omelet with bloody marys. the turkey omelet was a little bland but with a little salt & pepper it was perfect. our waiter was attentive and the service was awesome. we will definitely go back and it is on our "favorites" list.

poor service for dinner. i have been here before forbreakfast& had a wonderful time. however, trying it for dinner with some friends who hadn't been there before proved to be a mistake. the food was good, but the server was horrible! no personality-zip! you could barely hear him even after asking him to speak up. he didn't seem to know anything about the entrees or drink selections other than repeating back what was printed on the menu. i asked about a wine & he didn't know its origin & didn't offer to find out. and when i asked for a taste first, he ignored that & just brought a full glass. he also brought the wrong mixed drink to another one of us & another guest's entree didn't come out as ordered - which he didn't even apologize for. i will not return.

pretty good. i liked the menu--healthy options as well as some really sinful sounding ones! i opted forbreakfast& had the red velvet waffles. the drizzle on top was a great touch. i'd like to go back to try other options! it is a bit of a pricier option forbreakfastbut good for something different. service was a bit slow.
