stella's coffee haus

stella's is a south pearl staple, and it's pretty easy to understand why. the coffee is delicious, the atmosphere is incredibly welcoming, and there are always plenty of board games floating around the shop. seating can be a bit tight inside the shop, but if you exit to the side of the building, you'll find the large (and always empty) patio that adjoins stella's to a neighboring bar. although there aren't a ton of food options, the food they do have is fantastic. if you don't mind clogging your arteries, i'd strongly suggest getting a mango italian soda and a slice of their chocolate cake.

there are quite a few coffee shops in denver, but stella's is almost always regarded as one of the best. with great coffee,friendlyservice, and a killer atmosphere, it's hard to believe why anyone would go anywhere else.

attempt 1.. i've recently moved to the neighborhood and happen to be particular about the coffee served at a coffee shop. as a rule of thumb, i start with a cup of drip and move on from there. the cup of coffee i had at stella's was one of the worst i've had in decades recalling the dross perpetrated upon caffeine starved students at the now defunct kiva han cafe near my alma mater.

however, unlike the other reviewers - i found the staff to befriendlyand accommodating. the space is great and i plan to give them another shot - i'll report back after i try the food and espresso drink.
