steakout & drifters lounge

after a day of shopping, i stopped in steakout for supper with a friend. the restaurant was a little run down, but nothing we couldn't stand. we had a moment with the menus and decided what we wanted fairly quickly - we thought that since there was "steak" in their name that it was their specialty, so we opted for those. our server seemed oddly annoyed that we wanted to order the same time we ordered our drinks, since that moment his attitude did not change much. just aggravated the entire time... but we didn't care for the service, thefoodis what it was all about. when our entrees arrived, my first impression was that the portion was nice. for the price i paid for my steak ($18.95), you would think that i would have it cooked correctly. i don't know why our server bothered to ask us how we'd like our steaks done, since we received them well done. we ordered medium rare. the rest of the side dishes - vegetables, mashed potatoes and garlic toast were delicious. however, i was so disappointed with my steak. in the end, i did use a coupon from the entertainment book and received $17 off my bill. overall, i would not return for steaks... i was glad to have paid $13.50 for mine, but for $18.95 i would rather take my money elsewhere.

we recently tried out steakout pizza & grill twice because we had to go back to try more of their menu.  that is how impressive theirfoodwas. yum yum yum. . let's first start with their pizza.  they make really tasty and cheesy pizza's to die for. more of the new york style pizza rather than the new trendy flat bread pizzas. their gluten free pizza comes in only large and you build your own. each topping is 2.50 per. which works out to be only a little more than their large special pizzas when you add 3 toppings.  so the difference in price is not huge. (plus they almost always have a groupon).

waited over 2 hours for our food. when it finally came it was cold. when i called the restaurant for an update on where ourfoodwas, the girl was rude and unhelpful. not pleased at all. definitely over paid for 2 hour old cold food.

we have been customers for years. we have finally had enough.

every time we eat there, the service sucks and the people working there are not the greatest.

we were there today at lunch. there was only a few tables. we had to listen to those 2 women bitch about money missing for most of the time we were there. they could have discussed this issue at the front instead of making sure we all knew about it.

 the man served us, but we waited a long time to get served. thefoodwas good this time, but usually not cooked enough. (hot hamburger)
it seems that either management don’t know, or care what is happening. as an example, why did the lady put her purse on the counter where you slice the meat for the sandwiches. that is a health code violation.
it was nice place before, but we say goodbye now as we have had enough of this crap every time we come there.

i used to bring my customers there, but we only have so much time for lunch and cannot wait 15 minutes to get served and another 15 minutes to get our food. can't say it is because you are busy. seems like the place is alot quieter now than before.
too bad things have gotten this bad.

one of my favorite restaurants not only for quality offoodbut for the excellent service. you feel like every waiter is paying attention to your table and for large parties, be prepared for 5 or more waiters to come out with all dishes at once and place them all at once - how it should be.

magnificent place! it's definitely for people who will value more the experience than the money spent. prices are perfect and the taste offoodis superb. everything is fresh and made with love and care.

pizza, lasagna, burgers & smoked meat sandwich!!!!!!!!!

my husband and i have beed going to stakeout for about 3 years and go there about 2 - 3 times a month.foodand service is alway consistant but we mainly go for thefoodbecause you really get good value for your money. for the first time last weekend we went for breakfast with our friends and really enjoyed it.

also we have noticed the place is slowly been getting renovated and were told by some of the staff that the restaurant was sold to a younger couple recently. look like they have been making changes with their staff as well because we have seen improvements with the service,foodand the place is starting to look better. good luck to the young couple!!

very unwelcoming. my husband and i used to have breakfast here all the time, and thefoodis pretty decent. we recently stopped in about 11:20 on a weekday morning. there were perhaps ten people in the restaurant, so it was pretty empty. the waitress came up, and my husband said, "good morning, how are you?" "busy," she replied, and slammed a fistful of cutlery down on our table. we were a little taken aback, but i asked if i could have a coffee, and my husband asked for coke or pepsi. my husband asked for menus, and then asked if it was too early to order from the lunch menu. "i'm just warning you now, don't try to order from the breakfast and the lunch menu," said the waitress. "they don't like that in the kitchen." i was beginning to feel that perhaps the front of house didn't like us much, either, but i said, "okay, could we have two lunch menus, then, please." when she brought them she said, "so, two coffees, then," and walked away while i was trying to say, "no, one coffee and one cola." we had a brief discussion, and decided we didn't want to risk eating where people who see ourfoodbefore we do, dislike us so obviously, so we got up and left. on the way out, my husband stopped to let the waitress know we'd decided to go elsewhere, and she laughed like it was the best joke of the day.

this place has pretty much been crossed off our list of breakfast (or lunch) spots at this point. thefoodis decent, but it would have to be a lot better than that, to put up with that kind of treatment.

decent breakfast, service was friendly.. we decided to get a groupon for the steakout (a.k.a "drifter's") and went for breakfast.

our server was friendly and kept my coffee full, despite it being quite busy that day. thefoodwas good, typical greasy spoon type of steak and eggs with potatoes. the portions were great, very filling. i think we'll be going back here next time we're in the area.
