st. moritz restaurant

they had several food options with options for sides as well. we liked the pepper steak. the place was quiet as there were not that many diners.
it was a bit difficult to find the place.
the road in front of the restaurant was rough and rocky.

i have dined in this restaurant thrice already and every time, my experience was pleasant. i love the home-y, laid back atmosphere of the place. it almost feels like dining at your grandparents' house when they're out of town and you just want a nostalgic meal.

for the price, the portioning they have on this place is just right; not too much or too little. their steak is also nicely seasoned. funnily, my favorite is their bread rolls which i'm excited to munch on while waiting for our order. on our last visit though, they only served a dollop of butter and not from those usual single serving tub of butter, which disappointed me for a bit but did not ruin the experience.

although, their local beef is a little bit on the tough side, but this may be due to the fact that the ones we ordered were locally sourced. i have yet to try their imported beef section.

due to the limited space, and of covid, i highly advice for you to get a reservations beforehand as the place quickly fills up.

ordered a beef stroganoff. it was hands down the worst i’ve ever tried. it was closer to beef stew - small cubes of beef swimming in a watery soup with some vegetables. its like no stroganoff i’ve ever seen. now i’m not even sure they got my order right (how do you mistake stroganoff for anything else though?). still, its enough to drive me away from this place. never again.

had the ribeye steak (imported). it was good. tasted better than the local beef, which my cousin tried but there's not really that big a difference. the imported beef tasted sweeter to me. overall the experience was nice, my cousins and i enjoyed our food

it was already late dinner when we arrive at this place and we had it all to ourselves. the ambience was warm and cozy - felt like i was in another country or so. the staff were accommodating and they were prompt in serving our food.
i had a medium tenderloin steak and i was delighted of how it tastes. the spaghetti/ pasta bolognese was flavorful too! perhaps one of the best pasta i've tasted yet.
overall experience was excellent.

my to go place for steak once my cravings sets in. but my all time favorite here is the grilled porkchop. the portion size is really big and the meat is really tender and well seasoned. the ambiance gives me a ''the godfather'' like set up. really cozy and warm. 😊

the place was tiny but it made up for the big servings of pork and beef steak. i love me some good gravy and theirs was one of the best i've had. oh and they serve very good bread too!

the staff are so polite and the ambiance is perfect for romantic dates and catching ups.

ambience was cozy and felt like i was back in europe! dishes were quite pricey but totally worth it–taste was superb and serving was huge. also loved their complimentary bread.

one of the best steaks i’ve eaten in cebu, especially for its price. cream of chicken soup + calamares were great as well. highly recommend, would come back!

imported rib eye steak 400g cooked perfectly (medium rare). the steak is tender, juicy and flavorful. the sauce that came with it was also good, perfect match to the mashed potatoes. considering we were a group of 20 people, the steaks were all done according to our requests. definitely value for money!

servers were really helpful, they recommended dishes (lunch specials) and let us know which ones we should order. they were attentive to all our needs. i would definitely go back to this place when i visit cebu again!

i rarely eat steak. it is not that i hate it but in the few times that i have tried the gastronomical experience was not memorable. also, it is freaking expensive and my steak loving friends would impose that i should have mine rare or at least medium. i am sorry! not happening! but i digress.

but that all changed when i tried the local pepper steak here in st. moritz. it is inexpensive yet super delicious. i had mine cooked medium well and i enjoyed it so much so that after a few days i was still thinking about the steak. and oh, the sauce was beyond. it was so good!

i shall return!
