not so sweet pot fries. i was recently here on the patio with a group of co-workers as we wanted to enjoy the brief good weather outside after work. seemed simple enough, so after a round of drinks arrived a couple of the guysorderedfood. i was not all that hungry but figured i'd have a bite to go with my beverage and not be the only one not eating something. well ...after almost all my mates had not only got their food but were practically finishing, our student server, clearly overwhelmed, informed me that the cook had burnt my single order of fries, and a batch would be coming up shortly. ok i can deal with a lot so i figure a few more minutes, right? noooo, not quite. all the while miss-you-name-it-university is popping around and taking and delivering orders for patrons that came after us! and all iorderedwas fries!!! really?? finally i tried to cancel my order (politely) as i sensed that the guys would be looking to go shortly, and little miss ottawa coped an attitude, asking me if i preferred my bill instead. in other words, if i won't take a long overdue order, i can leave. the long and short of it is i don't think i'll be giving st.louis my business again. at least not until they get competent cook and wait staff. her name is robin if your willing to take your chances. d-

caution: would not honour gift certificates. buyer beware! when trying to pay for a recent meal we were informed we weren't allowed to use our gift certificates on sunday afternoons. there was no mention of this blackout on the certificates, nor on any signage. we were told it was a recent decision by the owner to try and boost business on other nights. needless to say, we would haveorderedrather differently had we known that our gift certificates would not be accepted. a ridiculous policy of questionable legality, and absolutely terrible customer service in dealing with it - we won't be returning.

overall fantastic food in all of there choices. i haveorderedthe pulled pork tacos, fantastic taste, you can really taste the bbq spicing. when comparing the pulled pork to dns in carlsbag springs, st louis has the wow factor.
the hamburgers are juicy and cooked to perfection, i have only been there a few times and i am overly impressed by the food and the service is excellent. friendly staff, the manager is always on site and greets you like family.
we now go there once a week after work to decompress from our jobs.
cannot wait to be there when the patio opens up, the atmosphere is welcoming and fun. must agree that parking around there is limited, you must adhere to parking time allowed or you will get a ticket.

will never be back to clyde avenue location. when they have the tuesday 1/2 price wings night be sure you do not order too much they may keep your left overs!!!! donald trump (the owner or manager) came to our table and graciously told us that we overorderedand the half price special does not apply to take out. i should have read the fine print...............sooo be very careful not to order too much because they may keep the leftovers or charge you full price per wing............ even though we had beers with our meal. anyway, i gave the wonderful waitress a good tip as we will never be back. our old buddy donald handled it completely the wrong way. enjoy the last money you will ever see from us mr. trump.

just came back from the clyde location. the food here is basically all frozen. weorderedtwo pounds of wings, fish tacos, and a pulled pork sandwich. the wings were weird, the skin was tough and dry and the buffalo ranch ones barely had any ranch sauce on them. the garlic dill dipping sauce came in a prepackaged plastic cup where you peel the lid off. i enjoyed the fries they came with. the fish tacos were soggy and very messy. they put guacamole at the bottom of the taco then fish so it was really soggy then topped it with too much lettuce. the ancho sauce was decent. the tortilla chips that came with it were completely stale and the salsa was watery and clearly out of a jar. the pulled pork had decent flavour but you could tell it was just reheated from frozen. the waitresses were nice but we won't be back.

two strikes your out. went the 1st week they opened and it took almost two hours to serve and eat a small chili and pound of wings. they charge us twice for our soft drinks. it was opening week so i cut them a break and the manager gave us two pounds of wings and fries free for our next visit. well next time, weorderedthe crock of chili for $7.99, the crock was not even half full, maybe 150ml of chili for that price? ridiculous!! since when is a lb of wings - 8 wings? i cook wings all the time and wings of your size should be 11-12 wings. overpriced, decent food but 2 strikes and you are out. sorry but i can't recommend this place.

i went to st louis grill on saturday, june 11, 2011. i live nearby and had gone to the restaurant many times, as the wings are usually quite good. however, this visit was completely different. our server was very nice, but didnt tend to us until 20 minutes after entering.
the menu has completely changed. the menu was different before, but very good. i think the restaurant has gotten new management. it seemed like it for all the changes that occurred. iordereda burger, and was not given any condiments. the ribs were dry and very tough.
i dont think i'll be going back anytime soon.
