long wait, bland food. i went there with my hubby and waited a little over an hour for my food, and at the time i was quite preggers so that really didn't bode well with me. when we finally did get served the food was bland, as if meant for a hospital or nursing home. not a place i will go again.

bacon, burbon, awesome!. i've been to the spenard roadhouse more times than i can count with coworkers, family members from outside (who still talk about the experience), and of course, my significant other. each time, the food and experience has been awesome. great food, great beer, great waiters, great service!

spenard's eclectic menu is the cross between childhood comfort food and culinary mastery. and yes, everything can come with bacon. i'd recommend the appetizers at happy hours, since they are half off and quite possibly the best deal in town. the bacon of the month is superb as is the calamari which will leave you salivating for more. not enough? try a sandwich, pizza, jambalaya, or other entree to fill you up. all are delicious and have unique flavors.

spenard also features excellent local beer on tap. if you are adventurous, you can try the burbon passport which, if you drink all the burbon flights, will grant you a free t-shirt and a spot on the wall.

with frequent specials and rotating brews, spenard roadhouse offers the most delicious and unique food anchorage has to offer. oh, and the price is good too!

worst. service. ever. the food is inconsistent. since they have opened, they went from having several dishes that were edible to focusing only on the bacon of the month & the tater tots. not really my thing.

love, love, love it!. i haven't had a bad thing to eat here, really awesome comfort food... but the most outstanding thing has been the wait staff. i've had consistently good service, particularly from one guy (sorry, i don't remember his name... wish i could, he deserves the kudos). he remembered us our second time around, always has great suggestions, gives excellent and personable service without taking over your evening.

i love the roadhouse so much. its the place i go for comfort food and drink. my week isn't complete without it. mmmm...

one of the best in town. spenard roadhouse is an amazing place. great bourbon, great food, innovative/imaginative menu, great specials, cool vibe.

favorites are the calamari appetizer, cuban sandwich, jambalaya, and bread pudding.

their menu is always chaging (especially their bacon of the month appetizer) and they always have new specials everyday.

decent food but not the best. i have been here a handful of time since they opened. and have never been too impressed. little pricey but lovethe fact they are local. soup is usually very good and love the tots but have had bad sandwiches and apps and icky cesar salad.

they have tots!!!!!!!!. i love this place! the service is always superb. the food never disappoints, and the staff always recommends the perfect pairing of beverages to dinners. plus, they have tater tots=) do not leave there without trying the peanut butter pie! you may need to split it with someone.

tasty!. my husband and i went on a busy saturday night, but we waited less than 10 minutes for our table. our server took good care of us and the food was great. we had breadsticks for an appetizer - yum! i got the chicken caprese sandwich (fresh mozzarella, arugula, pesto aioli) and it was very tasty. i really like the fact they serve local produce and strive to be environmentally conscious (napkins made from recycled paper, all cans are recycled, etc). the atmosphere is really laid back so adults and kids alike seemed to be comfortable. i will definitely be returning.

mediocre at best. food is dry and worthy of ummmm, flavor? salt? anything? service, i felt he was doing me a favor by coming over.

porkchop rocks. love the porkchop dinner and they have the best salads in town.

wasn't crazy about their food. the blackberry margarita tasted like straight tequila. the tater tot app was put in the boiler too long and burned black in spots. and the chicken capriese would have been okay i'd you could taste a hint of basil.

best. grilled cheese. ever.

great food. i have been here for both lunch and dinner, and have always enjoyed my meal. i always take out of town guests ere as it has outstanding food, a nice variety on the menu, and many unique dishes. good service, but it can be a tad slow at lunch.
