sorrento italian restaurant

just went there for mothers day. there wasn't a whole lot of people there andservicewas very slow. we had to wait about an hour and 15 min after we ordered. food.was good. it wasn't exceptional but good.

stellarservice!! spectacular food !!! violet (our waitress) was amazing ... she was attentive and had a great attitude (impossible to find these days) our food was amazing.. had the fettucini alfredo with chicken and shrimp and it was perfectly cooked al dente with a delightfully creamy sauce rich and full of flavor, moist chicken and delicious shrimp .... bread was buttery lightly toasted and served at perfect temperature .... the table was beautifully set and the linen was clean and perfectly folded ... outstanding ,.. just blown away by the attention to detail .... when my mother says "i feel like i'm at home" and my daughter eats every last bite of her meal .... it speaks volumes for the atmosphere, service, and culinary excellence ... bravo ... an encore is definately in order ...

good place, romantic atmosph.... ok place, romantic atmosphere (great for a date) and nice staff. theservicewas a little slow, took about 30 mins to get our food, don't go if you are in a hurry. the pizza was good, the dough had the perfect consistency and flavor but the pasta tasted like out of a can.

first off, great service! everyone was so nice :)) teresa was our server. however, it's very dim in there due to reliance on candlelight. which makes it perfect for a blind date. if you don't like what you see, just blow out the candle and enjoy the rest of your dinner. the salads are tiny and plain and the bread gets cold really fast. the food was average. i had the chicken parmigiana. for dessert i went with the cannoli which was super sweet. but the chocolate cheesecake and spumoni are great. all in all, theserviceand dessert aren't worth the money i spent. 6/10

if you are a parent, do not eat here. first of all, unless you are ordering pizza, the food is terrible. their manicotti is made from obviously cheap store-bought noodles and the marinara is bland. theserviceis dreadful. they will not accomodate any request at all that doesn't have a button on the register. also, this place is one of the least child-friendly restaurant's i've ever been to that doesn't have a maître d! i attempted a request for a half-order of cheese ravioli for my 4 yr old son and was flatly denied. after nearly ten minutes of back-and-forth, i told them i would go somewhere else and the manager merely replied "ok" and hung up the phone. so much for customer service.

better than most others. the atmosphere is great and theserviceis usually good. the food is no frills and the price is about the same. that's more than can be said for most of the italian places in town.

the bread is the one true turn off for me. it looks like split buns toasted and slathered in butter. but the bread isn't the main attraction anyway. their pasta sauce is hearty and that's what i care about. it isn't watery, it isn't runny, it isn't bland. i love a good marinara and this place has one.

i love the chianti bottles hanging on the ceiling!
