loved thesushiand sashimi, but sitting at the grill tables where the cooks prepare the meal was about average. we waited for 30-45 minutes just for the chef because they were understaffed that evening. but, upon return for a dinner during the week it was a much better experience. favoritesushiroll is the tigers eye, very good! great sashimi also.

very very disappointed with the sushi, staff and cleanliness of the restaurant. won’t be back. had heard it was a good choice but again, won’t go back. sushihad no flavor and definitely was not fresh. server gave major attitude when i mentioned it and didn’t offer any discount off bill. floor was very dirty.

horrible corporate faux food. freshness was lacking, it was unimaginative and in general horrible. this place is just another corporate shill trying to make money from a type of cuisine that is best done by someone who owns the restaurant, and really cares about the quality of what they offer.

worst japanese/sushiexperience you can have except maybe for the packagedsushiat meijer and martins.

not very good. i have been there for both lunch and dinner. for both meals we chose to have sushi. it was average at best, not particularly creative in presentation... and on the second occasion the rice was simply awful. the value simply wasn't there. i don't mind dropping 80-100 dollars for a truly greatsushiexperience, but there are other restaurants in town ( toyo grill comes to mind) that offer consistently better quality food, at a much better value.
the service was marginally better, at lunch in particular the gentleman who was our server was attentive and knowledgeable.
i would not bother with this place if you like good freshsushiand sashimi attractively presented. soho offers atmosphere and thats about it.

incredibly disappointing.. the decor of soho is simply top-notch, but it belies the quality of the food and dining experience. first, a warning, the lunch menu is not available on weekends, though this is not advertised on their website. service is attentive, no complaints there.

the food, however, is another story entirely. we ordered meals that came with miso soup and ginger dressing salad. the soup was the blandest miso i have ever had, and my wife agreed. not to mention that our two bowls of soup, supposedly the same thing, looked entirely different (hers had the characteristic cloudy broth of miso; mine was basically hot water with a chunk of tofu and a shred of seaweed).

the salad was delicious. the highpoint of the meal for both of us. entrees were terribly underwhelming. i ordered the chicken teriyaki, which was a chicken breast with a flavorless watery sauce that i could not register as teriyaki. the vegetables were overcooked and mushy. my wife's rice was uncooked and inedible. her veggie and shrimp tempura was mediocre. sadly, i had to steal some of her tempura sauce to give the chicken any kind of flavor at all.

we also ordered a california roll just for comparison's sake (my wife is pregnant, andsushiis therefore off the table currently). nothing to write home about.

we had been eagerly anticipating trying soho for some time, and never had had the occasion. well, the occasion arrived and we would just as soon forget it had. the idea of soho was much more appetizing than the reality. do not recommend for dinner service. did not have teppanyaki or a fullsushimeal.

we like it.. we like this place and eat the teppanyaki style. i prefer the miso soup to the standard mushroom soup. the food is good. the white side sauce is great. thesushitaste very fresh. i never had a problem with the service. i see someone complained about the runny dressing. that is the norm for the ginger dressing. all in all i like the soho i am glad to have another choice! haniyori is dirty, old and needs updated.

go to the bar. i have been going there for about a year and i will say i was going for just thesushiuntil one time i sat at the bar. this is where i dine now. the bartenders there give you the best service and they know a lot about the beer selection that is offered. they can pair up your food with a high quality beer better than anyone in the area. these guys will give you the best experience at soho.

will not go back again. that had to be the worst eating out experience i have ever had. first they spilt tea down my back and into my purse. btw not even a sorry for the girl that did it. 2nd took her forever to take our order. 3rd ordersushirolls and they come after our food. 4th waitress didnt check our drink refills 5th then after everyone but one table is gone we still had to get our own to go box and our ticket. 6th never offered nothing off for having tea pour down my back. needless to say no tip for her. btw this was the 4 time i had been there.

go for the sushi, not the tepanaki. i love benihana and this place is nothing like it. i found the food to be bland. if your asushilover, however, this is the place to go, great sushi.

love it!!. soho has really come around in the last few months! they've had some new servers and bartenders over the last few months, as well as newsushiitems. the service has improved. i've joined my friends here to share a few plates ofsushiwith great recommendations from favian. even my young nephew enjoys the chicken katsu and children's chopsticks. if you haven't been back in a while, i suggest you try it again!

awful!!. my family, husband and 2 adult children just ate there. it was the worst meal we have ever had. the service was so-so. our chef was okay but could have been more creative and funny. two of us asked for a different soup and we all 4 got the same kind. we asked forsushias an appetizer. it came in the middle of our meal. my steak was suppose to be medium rare...it was well done and so dry and chewy, i could hardly eat it. there was no flavor whatsoever to the food. the shrimp was tasteless unless you dipped it in the sauce. sorry...but we can't promote your restaurant and won't be back. we paid $150 for 4 people...never again!!

i read all the negative reviews about this place and shake my head. if you want authentic japanese food go to japan....not an american chain restraunt. i have eaten a lot more expensivesushithat wasn't half as good. i took part in the "preferred customers club" and i was not told it was a 50 dollar gift card but was in fact a 25 dollar card. the wait staff has always been kind, curteous, responsive and welcoming. i have never had a problem with this place and i highly recommend it.

not authentic. i went there with my wife....we paid wayyy too much for rolls that weren't even made right. the server was the most awkward person i've ever met...it's asushinightmare. the edema-mi had like a pound of salt on it. never eating there even if it's free.
