not authentic. i went there with my wife....we paid wayyy too much for rolls that weren't even made right. the server was the most awkward person i've ever met...it's a sushi nightmare. the edema-mi had like a pound of salt on it. never eating there even if it's free.

do not waste your money. this place sucks! first, we had to wait 45 minutes to get a teppan table and yes this was with reservations! next, our chef wasn't entertaining, needless to say he didn't even have a personality. third, for the price of the food, i was expecting it to be spectacular, but forget it, that sucked as well. i am going to hanayori from now on!!!

expect to wait. whether for the dining room or teppanyaki grill room, expect to wait. on our first visit, we waited 35 minutes for a table in the dining room. the sushi was fine, but nothing spectacular. on our second visit, we had a 7:00 reservation for teppanyaki and weren't seated until nearly 7:30, then had to wait another 25 minutes for the chef. part of the appeal of the whole teppanyaki experience is supposed to be the chef and how he performs and interacts with his guests. ours was wooden, cooked like he was alone in the back kitchen, and only spoke to ask if we wanted egg sauce and how we wanted our steak cooked. you will get a much better teppanyaki experience elsewhere in mishawaka.

- fraudulent and misleading -. soho started a customer loyalty program. they give you a "soho" card and when you reach $ 500.00, they give you a $ 50.00 gift card.

we followed the program, spent the $ 500.00 and were only given a $ 25.00 gift card.

they lie. we are not the only people this has happened too, and their wait staff agrees that it was supposed to be a $ 50.00 card.

the managers do not care.

their average food is not worth waiting for and being lied to over.

not recommended. restaurant atmosphere is great, but the food is decidedly average, westernized, and greatly overpriced.

for the food, i'd recommend toyo japanese grill over this place.

being from l.a. where japanese restaurants are a dime a dozen and sushi and sashimi are household terms, the food was an absolute disappointment. the fish was not fresh- which is unsafe for raw fish and the restaurant did not have common dishes. the decor maybe be one of the nicest in south bend but the food leaves much to be desired. for fresher fish, try toyo.

awesome!. i went here on a date and sat in the dining section. the service and food was great. jason was our waiter and he was so good it almost creeped me out.

waiter wasn't very good. it took asking to get a refill. got stuck on the end and the chef shorted us on rice and veggies. food was good though.
