sneaky snacky

we didn't know what to expact, but because of recommendation from a friend and high reviews, we decided to give this place a chance dispite having certain standards when dinning out. to see what all the hype is about from a unfamiliar food category that was superseded from our lives long ago, luckily we only ordered 1 donut burger to share between us. it was literally what it says, a beef patty betweensweetglazed donut. other ingredients included oozing cheese, deep fried substances and house sauce. oh did i mention the floriscent chooetos on top. don't like greens? no worries, there are no greens! the ultimate junk food if thats your thing. but to achieve the ultimatum junk food status, why not add a scoop of deep fried ice cream in the donut hole? i look forward to seeing that on the menu! a memorable experience for many years to come.

the guys at sneaky snacky are doing it right! a1! one of aucklands hidden gems. today i got a chance to try the original glazed donut burger and hoooooly what an insane combination.sweetand savory. wagyu beef patty with the kimchi fritter was just bomb yo! and people are definitely sleeping on the msg fries, made me laugh when i saw it on the menu but damn thats a good fry!
i ate with my eyes before ordering and got the shoyu ramen too haha great food.

definitely coming back to try the chicken burger! 5 stars from me.

why? i’m gonna be real, i was hesitant to try this place out at first. i am still not quite sure how asweetglazed doughnut & salty steak can be put together. but somehow it works, & it doesn’t just simply work, but it works so beautifully together. it tastes incredible & i do think about it once in a while. but the only thing is that it doesn’t seem to be the healthiest thing to eat & i’m quite conscious about that. not sure how, but koreans always knows how to mix interesting things that people would never think of mixing together. ok, one thing though. i’m very into my food being clean & the restaurant being hygienic. i’m sure this place is ok, but i hate food courts after some bad experiences lol and this place is in one...but i’ll overlook that because it tastes that good. but anyhow, wouldn’t eat it too often.

frequent customer. best burgers, chicken and fries i’ve ever eaten!!! burgers are juicy and flavourful, combined with the glazed donut bun it’s the perfect ratio ofsweetand savoury, sauce is delicious and idk what seasoning is on those fries but lordyy. i have nothing but good things to say i could go on all night but you’ve got to try it for yourself.

ordered their famous original glazed donut burger, i wasn’t expecting a pair of disposable gloves to be included in my order but thank god for these gloves because the bun (aka glazed donut) is sticky and sweet, and literally drips. i couldn’t imagine what the combination of thesweetdonut + kimchi, meat and sriracha would taste like but surprisingly everything fits in nicely. the beef pattie is not a lousy thin one either so i really think this burger is worth way above what you pay for. even their fries are something special, crispy shoestring fries sprinkled with spicy almost tangy powder its very addictive. i think it only took around 10 minutes for the food to be prepared and served.
they operate in a food court, which also adds to that vintage vibe sneaky snacky creates.

even when food is ordered as takeaway, it still tastes good when you get home. maybe its their fancy-looking containers. i wish they had a phone number to call them when making takeaway orders.

i went to have a try because its highly rated but it wasn't that good to my expectations. ordered the wagyu beef burger, the wagyu was good but taste weird with the kimchi fritters combination and the choice of sauce. thesweetdrizzling over the donut was quite unique and i love it.

f**king delicious hidden gem!

very sceptical when arrived because they are located inside a dodgy food court. the menu had no photos either...

but when the food arrived, bam! absolutely delicious,sweetspicy, tangy, perfection. they could have opened in a nice private restaurant but the prices would definitely be much higher. their spicy wings are delicious too! very very satisfied. i have bulimia and this food stays warm in my tummy. will be back again soon.

ordered 2 burgers and the fries with msg off uber eats. the fries were fantastic, seasoning was evenly coated and not too overwhelming. definitely made something relatively plain like fries stand out against other places. the chicken burger was great and had a good level of spice. the chicken itself was crunchy and juicy. definitely did not skimp on portion size. the donut bun was very soft - not really a "donut" other than its shape but i'm not sure i would've preferred an actual donut anyway. the beef burger was also very good, the flavours worked well together although the kimchi fritter did get a little soggy and doughy. personally, i'm not too big a fan of excessivelysweetthings so i probably would've preferred less of it (although i will admit, it did tie the flavours of the burger together nicely). the beef patty was well cooked and not dry at all. overall, the portions were surprisingly good and satisfying, everything was packaged nicely so nothing fell apart or anything during delivery. would definitely order again

eat the glazed burger upside down to get a huge hit ofsweetsavoury awesomeness.

they’re a bunch of great guys who’ll give you recommendations. also can customise your burger bu adding glaze and/or cheese.

overall a great meal and very satisfied.

after reading all the reviews i thought it was about time i trek into town and visit this place.

ordered the spicy chicken burger, jucy lucy, some wings and later on soem fries with msg.

the taste and texture is very unique, thesweetand spicy mix of the chicken burger are nice. i really enjoyed the jucy lucy which was really flavoursome. the wings were spicy and ok. i prefer the spicy chicken thigh in the burger itself.
the fries were so good we ended ordering another batch!

whensweetmeets savoury!!! get ready to fuel your bellies and try out the original glazed donut burger and hot chicken donut burger. my personal favourite is the beef burger due to its uniqueness! the wagyu beef patty is tender and juicy while the kimchi fritter has a nice crunch! together with the glazed donut as the bun, it is sure to satisfy your taste palette. now this is what i call the perfect comfort food!

a good combination ofsweetand savoury, really brings out the flavours. the only downside is that all flavours are quite strong and oily, so it’s a bit sickening after the first few bites. fries with msg was the same, super good for the first two bites and gets a bit too much towards the end. definitely worth a try tho.

this place is pound for pound one of the best burger places i’ve ever eaten at. i tried both the wagyu and fried chicken donut burger combos but ask for the donut on the chicken burger to also be glazed (highly recommend). both burgers had a great combination ofsweetand savoury flavours and different textures. msg chips were also bomb as. i have recommended this place to all my friends and will definitely be coming back!
