sneaky snacky

if you’re like me and love a good burger and a good donut (oh andfriedchicken‼️), then you’re going to love sneaky snacky. you will find them in the lim chhour food hall on k’road (one of my favourite foodie strips) - think american style burgers with a korean flare. order their hot chicken donut burger and a side of msg fries and you will be set for the night!

the hot chicken donut burger is epic. think succulent juicy nashville hot chicken paired with dill mayo, pickled cucumber, and american cheese (helllooo foodgasm). best part? the bun is a fresh homemade donut‼️ choose sugar glazed or plain; i recommend sugar glazed if you love that sweet/salty combination. this burger is also only $13... such a steal!!!

note: it gets verrrrry messy. so much so they provide you with gloves, which is super fun!

when i arrived to order the place wasn’t very busy. i ordered a jucy lucy w/ cheetos andfriedchicken burger. thefriedchicken burger was good, can’t fault it at all. but that’s as good as it gets.

not only did two other people receive their food before me when i had ordered well before them (didn’t get any sort of apology either), but the beef burger was pretty much raw. i didn’t really get the oozing cheese in the middle because mixed in with the raw beef blood it sorta just looked like bloody pus - which was not appetizing at all.

we didn't know what to expact, but because of recommendation from a friend and high reviews, we decided to give this place a chance dispite having certain standards when dinning out. to see what all the hype is about from a unfamiliar food category that was superseded from our lives long ago, luckily we only ordered 1 donut burger to share between us. it was literally what it says, a beef patty between sweet glazed donut. other ingredients included oozing cheese, deepfriedsubstances and house sauce. oh did i mention the floriscent chooetos on top. don't like greens? no worries, there are no greens! the ultimate junk food if thats your thing. but to achieve the ultimatum junk food status, why not add a scoop of deepfriedice cream in the donut hole? i look forward to seeing that on the menu! a memorable experience for many years to come.

the veggie burger had kimchi fritters and was great too! overall would definitely recommend this place!

donut burgers are super legit. get the juicy lucy. literally number 1 option for burgers, and their chicken wings are done in nashville chicken style if you get the sneaky hot option, also my number 1 option forfriedchicken wings in the city.

tried it for the first time, i ordered wagyu beef patties burger and 1 piece offriedchicken wing. omg!! i have tasted kfc, texas chicken,friedchicken in kebab house, so far, this is the bestfriedchicken i have ever tasted!!

the burger, wow!! delicious!!! i hated kimchi! but in here, the kimchi tasted so nice, and the buns oh, so soft and i will come back again!!

recommendation : if you guys @sneakysnacky want to grow big, please move to somewhere more crowded and has an easy parking location.

i don’t really leave food reviews anymore, but this place was too amazing to not give a shout out.

their donut buns are perfectly fluffy. the serving size was generous, and thefriedchicken was super thick and tender. the flavours were well-balanced with the creamy mayonnaise.

the hot wings were divine too, very crunchy with just the right level of heat. yes everything was on the greasier side, but it was served with pickles to balance it. if you have a craving for deliciously trashy food, then this is the place for you.

a surprise addition to the food court in front of lim chhour. tried 2 of the burgers -friedchicken burger and the original glazed. the burgers get messy, so a pair of plastic gloves are provided to counter that.

fried chicken burger is delicious but the original burger takes the top spot for combining all the complex flavors into a delicious bun. one of the most unique burgers i've ever tasted.

this place is pound for pound one of the best burger places i’ve ever eaten at. i tried both the wagyu andfriedchicken donut burger combos but ask for the donut on the chicken burger to also be glazed (highly recommend). both burgers had a great combination of sweet and savoury flavours and different textures. msg chips were also bomb as. i have recommended this place to all my friends and will definitely be coming back!

it only took one picture and a tip-off from queen of cheat meals to get us here. and as the king and queen offriedchicken, we trust her royal advice.

asian cuisine has mastered the balance of sweet, spicy, salty and sour. example: the hot chicken burger’s donut bun, chicken spices, seasoning and pickles, respectively.
donut buns are the perfect hint of sweetness with the nashville spices of thefriedchicken thigh, and the black sesame seeds on top are the devils touch to this sinfully good sandwich.

their chicken wings are huge andfriedperfectly, and the fact they use a glazed donut as a grease trap - sneaky sods - is the smartest thing we’ve seen this decade; cleaning up that pool of sugar with our last remaining wing is the second smartest.

sneaky snacky are by far the hottest option in this food court of dated dives, pigeons and sticky tables. and we’d rather give upfriedchicken for a month than be any one of city fitness’ clients on their way to the gym. any motivation for exercise would be lost at the sight of our tray of heavenlyfriedbird, msg fries and slaw - protein, carbs and veges at their finest. gym, shlym.

really good tasty burgers. their meat patties are packed with flavors and cooked perfectly. thought the glazing on their donut buns will be too sweet, but actually compliments the meat well. the chips were cooked perfectly and packed with spices.friedchicken was juicy and tasty. should add a double pattie option

do yourself a favour and next time you wantfriedchicken or a burger just go here! although it sounds unconventional the doughnut burger may be the best burger i’ve had in auckland. like tender buns? their doughnut would stand alone as a tender masterpiece but when combined with a gorgeously browned wagyu beef patty and super savory kimchi the added sweetness adds balance in a way that’s just so natural i’ll miss it in future burgers. definitely messy from the glaze and needs the provided gloves for eating but it’s worth noting i think the textures in this burger are perfectly balanced and it was easily eaten without falling apart.
fried chicken: the best i’ve had anywhere. full stop. juicy and tender from its buttermilk marinade and crisp despite being glazed in a louisiana style sauce that provides a once again perfect balance of salty, savory, sweet and spice(heat). next time i’m going for a bucket i’ll eat until i burst without regret.
fries and slaw are perfect complements to the big flavours and the cucumber salad is again superlative with the fresh herbs and pumpkin seeds adding vibrancy to a ubiquitous chinese dish.
seriously i feel like i’ve wasted so much time eating my burgers and chicken elsewhere. auckland has a lot of great options but this is top notch!

okay this is my third time trying this place and every time i am loving it!! my hot chicken wings are so good, but i recently tried the original burger and the hot chicken burgers and boy are they a treat for cheat meals.
this place has the bestfriedchicken and the best burgers.
