great place for a cold beer. this is one busy place on a nice warm day. wait times can be in access of an hour. food is fair, beer is cold, prices are stiff, but the atmosphere makes it all worth while. if you drove here and enjoyed the beach, you might as well tank up and enjoy people watching.

shark's. love the location of this restaurant although i have never been impressed with any of the food i have ordered. hoping once the remodel is over they well have a new menu. if you go, wait for a table outside. love the entertainment and the frozen drinks.

these people don't care. we had the $17 seafood nachos and wish we didn't. the $2 guacamole was brown. the "crab meat" mixture tasted like expired fish. the melted cheese had zero taste. the men's restroom was in extreme disrepair including a leaking ceiling (i can't imagine what the kitchen looks like). the bar was disgusting. the only thing that was nice was the sunset.

sometime "yes" sometime "no". we have been several time to sharky's on the pier and it is pretty inconsistent... sometime, it's been wonderful, sometime it's been average and sometime it's been much less than average with a tasteless fish sandwich. never the less, last time we went there were some major construction and we can understand business mixed with success can lead to progress, but i honestly feel the new horrendous huge modern structure will take away most if not all the old charm of the place.
not sure if we will be back...

i was told that the two things i needed to do when i moved to venice was go to sharkys on the pier and walk the beaches and find shark teeth. i was not impressed w sharkys. we had to sit inside because the wait was so long outside and although our waitress was great... i was not impressed with the drinks or the food! i also over heard another waitress complaining about one of her tables. definitely not what i expected.

long long wait. if you are hungry and want to eat now, then this is not the place. slow casual eatery located on the beach looking west at the sunset. this place always seems packed for sunset dinner. late lunch was okay, but when i was leaving your could see people all ready panicking they would not get "that" table.. remember, slow casual eatery on the beach.. :)

some restaurants have poor service, some are overpriced, and some have terrible food-sharky's manages to have all three.

old florida beachfront eatery. what a landmark for venice. a charming and romantic place to go. the atmosphere is hard to beat anywhere on the coast. like a private beach without all the high rises, hotels or condos. you can choose to sit inside or out. the food and service were right-on. we ordered the roasted caprese salad to start and it was plenty to share. followed by blackened grouper and the aruba style pier pasta. polished off with a vanilla cheese cake dessert. yummay! all were scrumptious. after your meal you can walk the pier or hang out on the beautiful white sand beaches and aqua waters. put it on your bucket list.

favorite beach bar. sharky's is our all time favorite beach bar & grill. it is our go to spot when we get off the plane and want great food and drinks on the beach. tried the freshly caught grouper in a sandwich and a mango bango drink. awesome. place is always crowded but definitely worth the wait

we arrived at 9:20 and were seated but didn't get menus until 9:40 we worked in the service industry and know much of this experience was bad. our food was heat lamped too the extreme. sad because i think we were the only people without food when it finally came. the food was way overpriced and not up to expectation. they cleaned up all around us and made us very unwelcome. f sharkys.

relax and enjoy the view.. stopped here to watch the sunset! everyone else had the same idea and the place was crowded. we were lucky to get seated outside and ordered a couple pints of samuel adam's seasonal alpine spring ($4.20/pt) - clean and crisp, goes well with sixties temperatures, setting sun and shrimp nachos ($15). never had shrimp with our nachos before so we were a bit skeptical. but it really was pretty good. lots of jalapenos.

we had to wait almost an hour for a table outside but it was worth it! i had the mahi mahi summer on the beach salad and it was amazing! my husband thought he had died and gone to heaven over his grouper sandwich because it was so good (he got it cajun style). i would recommend this restaurant to out of towners or locals. ambiance is great, service was fine and food was delicious!
