the menu’s been upgraded! and it’s better than before👍. the staff is responsive and must take their advice on dishes to order. great for a casual evening with good friends. great music, live or otherwise. great any day of the week 👍👍

so here in the frame we have bacon wrapped prawns and bacon wrapped chicken & pineapple from the menu of @shanghai.salsa .

the bacon wrapped prawns are wrapped with bacon,panco fried and served with vietnamese spicy dip.
and the bacon wrapped chicken & pineapple are chicken and pineapple wrapped with bacon,panco fried and served with vietnamese spicy dip.
both of these dishes are among the best starters you can choose from the menu.
we loved them and with no doubt you would love them too!

i ordered jamaican jerk- rs 220, scs wings-210, virgin cosmopolitan- 150
total 580+ 31 gst

i dint feel that good with food or ambience, kindof just overhyped i felt for the place.
1st dish is more potato could have been more chicken as per price.
2nd dish not warm when served and felt chicken not fresh. thus making the taste not going good with whatever the flavour.
drink is ok.
staff is fine, we went afternoon time so no music no light. place felt a bit suffocative.

great place to hangout with friends. drinks are good and friendly bartenders. good to sit over the bar counter as well.
i loved their dmz wings. finger licking good!!!
their house special pork ribs are a must order.

the place gets really lively when there's live performance!

i have been here more then 10 times and i really like this place. its just that it used to be better with the better food quality and quantity. the fries used to be cheesier and generous quantity. but it is not anymore. the chilli garlic basil pork used to be more yummy. i think there is a different chef now. shanghai is not what it used to be.
p.s- i gave 5 star when i visited first. but it's not the same anymore so i edited my review.

update: i can see they have changed their menu including many more items and even the quantity has inceases again so 4 stars again. even the taste has improved again.

if you love spicy food then you should definately try el diablo chicken wings. the pork bbq was okay-ish but the asian bowl was heavenly. overall it was a good experience. the ambience went perfect w the music they played that day

easily my favourite place to catch a drink or two in guwahati. very cozy interiors with the occasional live karaoke sessions making it more memorable each time. drinks are priced at very affordable rates. food can be better.
p.s. the waiters makes it more welcoming. 😊

two stars for the food as the chicken drumsticks i tasted were good . on the other hand very cramped and congested place ,beers were not chilled, came single and wanted to sit at the counter but saw the owner and a couple of his friends occupied the place , i mean literally as an owner your customers come first i guess but anyhow even the crowd which was earlier good now seems like a haven for rowdy college kids and noisy teenagers...i bet some kids might even be underage... not expected from one the places which i once loved ... sad state of affairs

okay, being very polite and less friendly cuz we honestly didn’t like any of the food that we ordered. it was one of our special days and we went there for the first time and we didn’t like it. the place is cheap but no good food. too bad that they couldn’t match quality and the flavour most importantly.

worst place for foodies in guwahati. food is not worth the price and service is horribly slow. also, the staff treatment is unbelievably rude. first of all, there's lack of space at the place. i was there after a hard day @ work and was sitting calmly at a side table. due to the incumbent customers, i was asked to shift to the bar seats, repeatedly; all this while eating my food. horrible experience. never faced this kind of treatment anywhere. won't visit this restaurant ever again! #peace

this is one of my favourite place in guwahati to chill with friends. the food out there is so tasty and not too expensive. on a scale of 1-10 i’ll give 10 to this place .

good for an evening out with friends or dinners because of the live music sessions that they have but i haven't had a pleasant experience with their staff. the servers are very rude and they act like they are doing you some kind of favour by even coming near your table. i'm a frequent customer to this place only because my friends seem to like it and every time, the staff has been very arrogant and rude.

a wonderful cozy place, serves great food and music! pork is clean and responsibly sourced. the serving staff is polite and helpful and is ably led by the captain. the restaurant has a smoking room too. the menu is thoughtfully put together and portions are adequate. the restaurant does not use msg/ ajino moto. evenly priced and affordable. overall, a great experience
