shady's burger joint

great burger joint. i went to shady's for the first time and was impressed by the food and service. iorderedthe el shady burger, it was very tasty. juicy, and the right amount of jalapeno heat for me. the place was clean, and well decorated for a good joint/bar. i plan to go back again.

iordered“the hood”, with cheese, jalapeno, and onions with a side of fries. there were no options about how i wanted it cooked so i assumed it would be medium well. the wait was not too long, maybe 7 or 8 minutes and they served it on a metal plate like you see other new and fancy places. i like this kind of arrangement so it was all a plus. the bun looked good also (see picture below). the burger was very good. the cheese was good and the meat tasted really good. it was a petty that they cooked it well-done. i am sure the burger would have improved had they cooked it to medium. the jalapenos were not spicy at all. i guess they want to play it safe. the fries we

terrific atmosphere. my sonorderedel shady and was very pleased with it. he said it had just the right amount of heat. iorderedthe tendas. i thought these were okay but overall not close to terrific. the breading was dark and there wasn't much of it. the ranch dipping sauce was very thin and neither had much flavor and no wow factor. my fault for ordering chicken in a burger joint. service was absolutely outstanding. the place is dog friendly and i saw several beautiful dogs while there. they had the garage doors open and there was a breeze so all in all a comfortable visit. i can't imagine sitting that way in july though. i think the heat would be a show stopper for me

good burgers in a fun atmosphere. you order as you walk in. they have a nice selection of beers and other drinks. i was tempted to try an adult milk shake but went with a shiner prickly pear instead. my husband and iorderedthe high fries loaded with cheese and chorizo. they were quite tasty. i had the hood which was very tasty. iorderedit medium well but it wasn't dry. the bun was a perfect balance with the burger. my husband had the el shady. he enjoyed it. there was even a little live entertainment, a couple singing some oldies complete with guitar and tambourine. i recommend.

a really good burger. it was hyped up too much though so my expectations were much higher. it's a bit pricey as well and everything isorderedsepeartely. they do have a nice patio area when the weather is good

iorderedthe el shady burger: mix in chorizo with the burger and add fried jalapeños and a fried egg. plus an order of frings (fries and onion rings).

the burger was good: a little overcooked for me so i found it dry (lean meat perhaps). fries with skins (my favorite) were good but a little limp (under fried), onion rings are over breaded (like i like them).

looks like i got stuck with a day old bun: yuck! so they get a "don't like" from me for that infraction. lazy cook.

great patio: should be fun in good weather.

nice neighborhood joint. brought my family for the first time. the neighborhood is in a nice area of richardson, and several well liked businesses are in the strip.
weordered(no line) and sat down. my ipa was very cold and the glass was filled to the top of the pint. good job on that. it was 5:30 pm but the only advertised drink special was half off well drinks. sorry, i don't want any old crow with my hood burger. we waited probably 10 mins on the order. the kids were hungry! here comes the food...well almost. my wife and i were served. one kid was served. the other two kids were not...whoops! "we'll be right back with those macaroni and cheeses". this is just poor training to prepare and deliver an adult meal before a kids meal. my kids snacked on our french fries while waiting on their macaroni and cheese so it wasn't a huge problem, but it was annoying and sad. "excuse me! my 6 year old is very hungry...please feed him before me!". otherwise the service was friendly and somewhat attentive. and the food was pretty good. even the kids meals were better than average quality for $5. a "fresh" or "healthier" option (fruit cup or carrot sticks) for kids would have also been appreciated. otherwise we left satisfied and will probably be back.
