shady's burger joint

great burger joint. i went to shady's for the first time and was impressed by the food and service. i ordered the el shady burger, it was very tasty. juicy, and the right amount of jalapeno heat for me. the place was clean, and well decorated for a good joint/bar. i plan to gobackagain.

saw a rat run from thebackwhile eating a t the restaurant. i asked a manager about it and he blew it off stating things happen. had no remorse or respect for the customer! the manager also reeked of cigarettes and seemed more interested in the female bartender. he openly belittle the other staff members and walked around the place as if he owned it. i asked another employee how to contact corporate so i can mention the lack of respect i felt and the server who seemed very out of it walked over to the manager. the manager walkedbackover to me and told me he is the corporate and the owner. i will never gobackhere and i feel bad for whoever does own or manage the restaurant because there is a lot of things needing to be fixed. without customers there is no business.

fun place with really good burgers. shady's burger joint should be on everyone's list if you like burgers. the outside look has an old world german flavor with the bricks and brown. it's appealing especially with the large wood fenced patio. the inside decor is a bit scrappy. i think they went for rustic, but missed the mark just a little. the fries and burger were really good. i enjoyed the seasoning on my fries. the blue buffalo was cooked perfect. it was thick, juicy and slightly pick in the middle. the bun was buttery and held up until the end. great burger.

shady does has a few negatives to take into account. the line can be long. i waited 30 minutes in the line. the garage doors to the patio were open. it's 90 degrees. it was hot and sweaty waiting in line. i never did cool down. i like the burger so much, that i will be back. if it's hot and the garage doors are open, i'll leave and comebackanother time. the burger is that good, it's worth comingbackwhen it's not hot.

great burgers and rings. very good burgers, salads, and rings. the atmosphere and the staff were a plus. great place to meet friends, eat, and watch the flat screens while relaxing. we will bebackoften!!

nice neighborhood joint. brought my family for the first time. the neighborhood is in a nice area of richardson, and several well liked businesses are in the strip.
we ordered (no line) and sat down. my ipa was very cold and the glass was filled to the top of the pint. good job on that. it was 5:30 pm but the only advertised drink special was half off well drinks. sorry, i don't want any old crow with my hood burger. we waited probably 10 mins on the order. the kids were hungry! here comes the food...well almost. my wife and i were served. one kid was served. the other two kids were not...whoops! "we'll be rightbackwith those macaroni and cheeses". this is just poor training to prepare and deliver an adult meal before a kids meal. my kids snacked on our french fries while waiting on their macaroni and cheese so it wasn't a huge problem, but it was annoying and sad. "excuse me! my 6 year old is very hungry...please feed him before me!". otherwise the service was friendly and somewhat attentive. and the food was pretty good. even the kids meals were better than average quality for $5. a "fresh" or "healthier" option (fruit cup or carrot sticks) for kids would have also been appreciated. otherwise we left satisfied and will probably be back.
