came here with two of my friends, two of us ordered bibimbap and one ordered one of those seafood tofu soup. the bibimbap was just average since thericewas so sticky it didn’t work very well. the seafood tofu soup was straight up bland despite the presentation being good. the service was also not very pleasant. couldn’t find the waitress for about 10 minutes and when we asked for refill she completely ignored us. wouldn’t come up again.

i ordered bibimbap.it served with lots of veggies and there is aricebelow.the taste is absolutely so good.the beef is not too sticky and it is on point.the veggie in the bowl also taste nice and go well with this dish.my friend ordered kimchi soup with korean spicy but it still to mild for us.the taste of kimchi soup is brilliant.we also ordered tok-bokki but we think that it is too sweet.the side dishes are kimchi, bean sprout and potato.they look simple but they are actually taste great.i think it is a little bit expensive for me compare to other restaurant.overall if i have chance i would definitely go back.

was craving korean cuisine for dinner and stopped by seoul house, which is one of my top picks for korean food in the city.

the restaurant is larger than most korean ones in wellington so it feels more roomy and comfortable. there was only 1 waitress but there wasn't a big crowd so i got served relatively quickly.

i picked the new item on the menu which was bulgogi stew, served withriceand side dishes. it arrived bubbling deliciously in its stone pot. the taste was also absolutely phenomenal. bulgogi is normally thicker and served withriceon the side, but watering it down slightly and making it a stew is perfection for a cold evening. portion was also more than enough and i had to pack some home. totally recommend it, even though it is a tad pricier than the other stews on the menu.

the side dishes though, were disappointing. the bean sprouts was quite bland and frankly, tasted like they had been refrigerated for too long. the kimchi wasn't to my taste, although that is my personal opinion because every restaurant has a different kimchi recipe. it obviously could be very yummy to someone else so even though i couldn't finish mine, i wouldn't discount it completely.

showstopper: bulgogi stew...soooo good!!

overall grade: b+

my friends who are regulars at seoul house took me here for dinner for the first time. very friendly and fast service. the waitress was accomodating and refilled our appetizers as soon as we finished them. the food was amazing. bulgogi and kim chi friedriceare the best out of all the dishes that we ordered. will definitely be back!

we ordered bibimbap for dinner. they served it pretty quickly. the heart shape egg was cute. personally, i like my stone bowl to be super hot so thericeat the bottom would burn a little. this bowl is hot but it didn't feel like it was hot enough. sauce was fine, as a whole it's okay. only one waitress working so she was a bit busy and we had to help ourselves and remind her to get our drinks. food and service we had is okay.

this is a korean restaurant that i always say yes when i visit wellington.
food are always warm and delicious! i tried several different dishes
and i recommend spicy pork on hot plate and the tofu soup.
if you are a vegetarian, try ask the staff to substitute the beef to tofu on the top of the bibimbap (hot potricewith various vegetables).
they are always good with some beers and also with thericewine! :)
best korean restaurant in wellington!

went here for date night last night. we were greeted by a perfectly nice server. we ordered the bbq pork for two withriceand the beef noodle soup. we were given a big plate on a little gas stove and out soup came out boiling, very cool. everything seemed quite unassuming and simple, but put together it tasted amazing. we were given little pots of red soybean paste and sesame oil which when we dipped the pork into, really brought out the gorgeous flavor of the pork. the noodle soup was the epitome of comfort food- really meaty, and warm and wholesome tasting. also. the free side dish of kimchi was awesome, extremely authentic and quite fresh tasting so you know they make it on site. will definitely be back again, i has a fantastic time.

seoul house is a large-ish restaurant, which can feel a little cold and impersonal at times. the same can certainly not be said for the food. think korean, think hot! hot! hot! i tend to play it safe and order bibim bap, a tastyricehotpot with veges and beef, or their delicious seafood pancake.. i like chilli but have had too many disappointing experiences at korean restaurants where the mind was willing but the tastebuds were shrieking "no, no, no, we can't take any more...". food aside, the other big drawcard of this restaurant is the reasonable prices, particularly given the generous size of the servings.

service: 3/5
ambience: 3/5

value for money: 4/5

i have always wanted to try korean cuisine and this place was a surprise. not knowing what to order, i selected the shall i say bluntly infallible asian dish, the friedricewith pork. my partner ordered the pork omelette with rice. we tried each other's dishes and both shared a particularly sweet/ honey taste. the portions were good, the service was good, and it was a good evening. there was no gangnam style to be heard, and that is all.
