noon on friday afternoon you could count the people on one hand in this mod newcomer, and yet by 3:30 pm you couldn’t get a seat. apparently they lunch late in miami. and lunch they do, it certainly wasn’t the leisure, i have nothing to do but shop, eat, boat and golf crowd; every table was was suited up. movers and shakers, dealmakers, and rainmakers or so it appeared. oh and ladies, 97% of the tables were occupied by well-groomed, professional, and exceptionally well-dressed men, just in case you’re looking for you’re next place to lunch with a view. seasalt & pepper, miami when in miami….and just like all the other lunchers at seasalt & pepper we did just that, lunch. according seasalt & pepper’s website they describe their culinary style as “ serious cu

terrible service! waiters don't have a clue of the meaning of customer service. our server started questioning the order we were making, he was rude, and dissapointed by the fact we only wanted 3 appetizers to start our meal for our 9 ppl table. the place was really noisy, it is more of a lounge than a restaurant. we left the "restaurant" at that moment... enough of bad customer service.

on a recent trip to miami i tried seaspice with a group of friends. located on north river drive in the miami river neighborhood. this restaurant has great décor both chic and trendy, and with tables both inside and outside makes it a perfect spot a get together with friends. if you get there by boat you can also make arrangements to get it tied at their dock.

sadly after being one of my favourite restaurants in miami on my last visit the food and service was poor. 3 hours for all wrong orders. the fish was dry and tasteless. lovely ambiance but after waiting 3 hours for our rude waiter to get a order wrong i don’t know if i’d return.

it's been four years since i first visited seaspice (then seasalt and pepper) when they first opened in the winter of 2013. given south florida's random culinary rules and often flighty patrons, it's an impressive achievement for them to be still standing and enjoying great success. cruising that long on the miami dining horizon takes vision, discipline, resilience, talent, and a tiny droplet of luck.

place is really nice with a wonderful view and location, this are the high notes. food is not good and service is weak. this place thinks that you have to be overcharged to be well treated. management is very poor , maybe they think miami doesn’t deserves good service . overrated place.

imagine combining some of the best food from sugarcane with the privileged setting at seaspice, the creative taste sensations of modern garden and professional, friendly service. that describes the “new” seaspice miami on the river, now a serious favorite of yours truly. last november the  owners brought over angel leon from sugarcane, teamed him up with benjamin goldman formerly of shikany  along with european managers on the service side, and there you have a new winning team. the crowd was also appealing – a  mix of anglos and latinos, good age mix, and cosmopolitan, judging by appearances. they got the lighting right – soft and romantic, and not competing with the lights from the river and its passing boats or the miami skyline. the music was the right level, too. choose to sit on the open air deck or my preferred place at night (it’s quieter) at a table inside, though next to the doors which are opened onto the deck.

situated right off of the miami river by the fresh fish market, we were tremendously impressed with how beauteous this place was. the architecture is exquisite and we caught ourselves admiring the place throughout dinner taking in the ambience. the restaurant is colossal with ample seating indoors, outdoors and at the bar. the water skyline paints a majestic backdrop that is visible from both the inside and the dockside seating. sea-faring tycoons may navigate their yacht and dock it there, if they are so inclined. we do not know if aqua valet is extra. for your reading pleasure, we will highlight our favorite dishes of the night.

worst experience ever. do not come here for miami spice. we went here for miami spice. we should have left the moment we got in. to start the hostess was rude. the minute we mentioned that we were here for the miami spice menu she looked disgusted. if you are "booji" or love pretentious dinning this is your nirvana. after sitting us down, we waited 15 minutes just to get a drink and 45 minutes later for the food. after we ordered, our waitress was never to be found again. the food was good but the portions for the miami spice menu were ridiculously small. if the point for the miami spice is to promote restaurants, they should drop the attitude or not participate at all. we will never come back here, even though we liked the food, the service completely ruined the experience.

yes seasalt and pepper, let's talk about your food and service.. the places on front of us this georgeous pita bread toasted to perfection, salted just right and with bits of parmesan cheese, we were happy already. paul ordered the mahi mahi that came with potatoes and tasted a number 9, and that is a high rate coming from us. the for dessert we ordered chocolate something, you can see on the photo. it was beautifullly presented and tasted like it looks.
