decent food and nice location. always crowded and often good music.

first off i am a restaurant owner. this place is way over priced, food is very bad and not good at all. i came here with friends that talked about how good it was. the bar is or good i ordered a crown and ginger alexandra they gave me coke and sprite mixed. the coke and sprite was flat, the drink was horrible. i couldn't even finish it. i ordered the mai mai and it was about 6oz of fish and cost $18 way over priced for being right on the beach. my girlfriend ordered the burger. it was a frozen patty and was $15!!! that is all i got to say about this place. i will never be back!

a jewel in the sand. it's hard to find old school joints that are right. on. the. beach. we arrived right at 4:30 on sunday and barely got a parking spot/table....go early. the great news it was on the less windy side of the porch with a great view of the beach/sand/sun. take a coat in if its windy.

our service was great. we had a super-young server but you wouldn't have known it by the service (sorry, small-blond-pony-tail-super-blue-eyed-girl, forgot your name). we literally had our drinks in 40 seconds and the place was 3/4 packed and everything came with an easy smile from the server.

good job in the kitchen, too. the food came out hot, flavorful, and in 5 minutes. i read that the grouper was "where it's at" so i got the blackened grouper sandwich, substituting the black beans & rice for fries. the fish was really good....there was no charge for my substitution. the sleeper on the plate was the beans and rice. there's no fear of seasoning in this place! the salt was perfect and the heat was bold but not overwhelming.

yes, you pay a little more for a sandwich than on the back beach road but they have to compete with condos & (i'm guessing) rising real estate prices to stay there and give you the view you really want. put schnooner's address in your navigation and go......

great hangout. great place to hang out. love the beach! bartenders are great! the bands are great. food is just ok.

worst lunch we can remember. not only was the place cold but the music was too loud to overpower the smelly gas space heater. the food was a huge disappointment. the "fish tacos" were prepared with the ingredients upside down, the fish was not
very fresh tasting and masked with too much hot sauce. even worse the
fish was barely warm and the shell was cold to the touch. the "scuban"
was not what is expected. no sliced meat and cheese inside, just a glob
of some misterymeat that resembled cat food. not much flavor so i'm not
sure what it was.
the only things fit to eat were the french fries served with the sandwiches
and the turtle cheesecake we shared for desert.
$45 for two domestic drinks, french fries and a shared desert!
we'll never go back.

it is located on the beach. prices are decent. totally local, how could it not be.

over rated. local place my ass. every thing is way over priced an not good. a beer cost more than a 6 back.

the place came highly recommended to us. we were seated right away but after a 30 minute wait without a waiter we decided to leave. several other patrons came in after us and we're served before us.

love this place without hesitation. when it comes to local joints in pcb, this is the place to go to. what's better than a great meal, decently priced, right on the ocean? the atmosphere is awesome, and the staff do a good job.

great view and great food. we have been to pcb many times and this is the first time we ever at at schooners. it definitely exceeded our expectations! we had the perfect view of the ocean, live music, beer, and good seafood.

we were grabbing a snack. ordered calamari and shrimp spring rolls. the food was good and the view was nice. to top it off we had keylime pie... yummy!

long time favorite.....but couldn't get my burger cooked. first, center was rare....fixed one to go to correct the first and it was medium to medium well....specified well done. i give up!

just okay. very expensive for what you get, which is salty tourist "beach bum" grub.

it's okay for a sunset drink or three, don't get me wrong, but you can skip the food. and they can stop calling it a locals bar...

since pcb is much the tourist city, they know they have a captive audience and therefore most restaurants are mediocre at best. many don’t bother to update or even have a website and forget finding anything decent open on a monday or tuesday if you visit anytime other than the peak summer season. if you do find one that you like, there’s only a fifty-fifty chance it will be there the next time you visit. however, there are a few highlights i discovered since my last visit to panama city beach , that i want to share with you.

okay.. atmosphere is nice. server was efficient and friendly. not many choices. we had the grouper basket. it was okay but portions were small. my ten year old had the gumbo and he liked it. my family tends to like local dives more than popular tourist places. many people recommended schooners. we really didn't think it was all that. the deck dinning by the beach was great. maybe a drink and appetizer kind of place.
