as a vegetarian, i so badly wanted to like this place. however, the service is consistently terrible and the prices are a bit ridiculous. today we waited nearly 20 minutes just to get menus. once we ordered, it took 45 minutes to get our food and they messed up our order. every time i'm there, either the order is wrong or the service is bad. what makes it worse is that the staff/management doesn't care that they are providing a bad service - they have never tried to make up for it or express serious apologies.
the prices here are also pretty crazy, considering its supposed to be simpleveganfood. 50 zar for the oreo dessert, which is essentially just flattened date balls?

first time having aveganmeal. although i did not enjoy my meal - zucchini pasta - i have to admit that this was probably not the restaurant’s fault. i had ordered a dish with an overpowering mint flavour & i really dislike mint. however the other meals the were ordered were really really good. it was a “hotdog” & “burger”. the flavour was amazing & the portions were generous. the service was fantastic! we will definitely be back to try the other items.

if you areveganor not these are the best flapjacks that i have ever had! they are fluffy and flavourful. the combination of the fresh and slightly tart strawberries with the mild banana combined with the drizzle of agave is an incredibly palatable combination. and to top it off their nut ice cream is absolutely luxurious. matcha flapjacks for the win!

food- we really enjoyed the food. the breakfast withveganeggs, mushrooms, sausages etc was amazing. the pancakes were also good. the cashew ice cream is amazing.
the service was really not great though. we waited for a very long time for the food to arrive and the waitress was not available for most of the time. the team seems under staffed, there was only the one lady for all the tables. i would not want to wait for an hour for my food again. note- the menu has changed and the prices have gone up.

i love the food and the sauce that comes with the fries is exceptionally tasty. however you have to fight for service and sometimes receive snarky remarks from management upon asking questions about the restaurant. it’s way too pricy but that’s generally something you have to deal with upon seeking good qualityveganfood to eat out. the vibe is cool, it’s often busy and the aesthetic has a sheek hippy appeal.

a greatveganrestaurant. i’ve tried a few dishes:

theveganburger is delicious (i’ve ordered it several times because the flavour is spot on) however the charcoal bread bun consistently crumbles every time i’ve had this burger, which is a big negative for this tasty burger.

the falafel wrap tastes good and the flavours are as you would expect from this meal.

the raw beetroot juice is good.

my flatmate and i love all their desserts - the snickers bar is pictured here and it’s a winner.

i’ve had both the muffins that they offer (one is bran and the other has a spiced coffee flavour), both muffins are very oily and crumbly and i won’t order them again. these recipes and flavours should be improved.

i’ve heard that their pumpkin flapjacks are incredible and i’m looking forward to tasting them.

the vibe in raw is happy hippie and it’s a cool spot to enjoyvegangoodness or to get yourself a takeaway.

great interior, really fitting to their whole healthyveganvibe. the tables are quite small but that’s to utilize space. i ordered an americano and it was perfect and strong. for breakfast i had the avo, truffle oil and chili. it looked small when it arrived but i couldn’t even finish it. the bread was divine. i had a taste of the pumpkin pie flapjacks and they are delicious, i can see why they have a reputation.

first time trying this place and it exceeded expectations! i loved the pumpkin flapjacks...sweeter and slightly more dense than normal flapjacks but wow, this was yummy. theveganice cream that accompanied it was so creamy and so perfect for a hot day. we also tried the veggie scramble - i enjoyed the texture of the tofu but there was too much turmeric. thevegansausage was also a bit salty. i personally prefer my guacamole on the side rather than on top of the toast but that’s being picky. the cold pressed pine juice was refreshing and the choc mylk tasted like a milkshake. the place is a bit small with tables quite close to each other but it has a nice vibe. also note, they don’t take reservations on a weekend. service was speedy and our waiter even volunteered to walk us to our car as there was a dodgy guy hanging around 👍🏽 definitely try out this place even if you’re a big meat lover, it won’t disappoint.

i am in love with this place. the food is delicious and i have tried almost everything on the menu. they are a bit pricey but the food quality is really high and is delicious. you also do not have to be aveganto enjoy this place. i recommend the poke bowl, the trump dog or my favourite which is the cvc.

the layout is very simple with very simple decor. there is limited seating so you might want to get a takeaway and walk down to the promenade (its less than a 5-minute walk away). the only reason why i would not give a 5-star rating is due to the service being insanely slow. that being said, it is worth the wait as this is one of the bestveganrestaurants in cape town and everyveganshould try it at least once.

pleasantly surprised at how yummyveganfood can actually be. after seeing photos of these pancakes all over social media, i had to try them. the pumpkin pancakes were definitely more tasty and more flavorful than the matcha pancakes and i would definitely go back just for them. we also enjoyed some ginger shots and fresh juices out of small glass jars. the restaurant is small but is often very busy. the staff and pleasant and the service was good.

it’s good for aveganrestaurant but it’s not going to make me give up meat any time soon that’s for sure.
i had the tofu scrambled eggs which was quite delicious.
i must say it is surprisingly filling for something that’s vegan.
not a big restaurant so you may struggle to find a nice table. and it’s opposite where they’re building a new apartment block so lots of noise pollution.

this has to be one of my new favourite lunch spots. went back recently for the second time and i absolutely loved the food. i had the falafel wrap, which was super tasty and filling! my friends had the bvb (bestveganburger) which they also really enjoyed. although they are aveganrestaurant, they have a variety of options that look and sound great. looking forward to my next visit!
