been here for dinner and had a splendid time! the wine list was great, the food was really nice as well and we just enjoyed ourselves! try the tapas / fish platter, you will love it! and also the house rose wine :)

such a wonderful establishment. pristine setting and food is fantastic. the manager is well conversed and it is an overall pleasure to visit this restaurant.

great view but i find the restaurant overpriced from a value perspective, the food mediocre (my extremely tiny beef kebabs that i ordered medium arrived well done) and the service is poor (it took us 15 min after arriving to get first drinks order placed). i will definitely gove it a miss next time i am in wildernis.

although situated in a nice location we were not put in the best spot. being smokers and it being an extremely hot that day we were shifted under a furnace of a gazebo out back with not too much of a view. the food was average as we had there tapas selection...not one dish stood out. i can honestly say that with season there was defiantly no passion in the preparation or plating of the food. sloppy is the word. our waiter disappeared just after we ordered but i can say the gentleman that took over was a lekker guy. cool place if you want hit the beach after and maybe fill the gap if you are peckish but for what you pay you may need to grab some after.

prawn and mushroom 4 out of 10 . bartered prawns well cooked . no flavour
mushroom starter . 4 out of 10 . not seasoned and garlic was overbearing

mains
kingklip thermidor . 3 out of 10 fish was rubbery and over cooked . not enough sauce.

thai chicken curry 7 out of 10 . tasty , cooked well . nice flavour .

service
reception : took 5 minutes for us to be acknowledged 3 out of 10.

finally when acknowledged by friendly host 7 out of 10
waiter : absolutely useless . very slow and inefficient. took for ever to get our orders placed and received . other waiters seemed organized .
maybe he was tired . rating 2.5 out of 10

great place for views and drinks . food is very average .

went twice in the day . the waiter in the afternoon was a gem . 9 out of 10 for him

stopped here after being at the beach with the family. ordered the beach tapas platter and fish and chips. food was good, service speedy so overall a great place.

pleasant restaurant on the sea side of wilderness. cocktails and a light lunch. had some prawns, fish & chips. great variety. wasn't to pleased with service. waitress kept bring the wrong orders. from cocktails to side dishes. all in all still a lovely restaurant with good food!

breathtaking views, even though it was cold and we needed to sit inside it was spectacular! the pina coladas were delicious! i had the cheddar and blue cheese burger it was delicious! portion sizes are generous, the service was spectacular. definitely one to visit!

we opened our dining account with cocktails - the pina coladas were outstanding adult milkshakes, good mojitos and margaritas too. on the steak and sea food menu, we went with fish thermidor, mussels and calamari. fresh, simple and delicious. great views and a lovely evening!

would strongly agree to the comment that it is an average restaurant in a prime location. food was to die for once it just opened 4 or 5 years ago and than they got the fame and slowly downgraded.though would recommend to visit it for a sunset cocktail or a drink,as the atmosphere and decor there are nice.

we've been to salina's for the umpteenth time now, yesterday. their selection, quality and standard of food was and is very consistent. salina's is one of south africa's greatest undiscovered secrets of good food and fine dining at a very good price. their tapas are stunning and worth a visit on its own. the rest of the menu also stunning! the service was perfect and friendly. the wine list excellent , catering for sophisticated as well as quaffing wine drinkers. highly reccomended. eddie wolff

we often eat at salina's when down on holiday. they make one of the best burgers, have good cocktails and a good view but the service can be very slow. don't go if you're in a rush.

we ate at salinas the last day of our holiday on 25th june. there were 8 of us. we ordered a bottle of dom  perignon, which was warm. we sent it back unopened and got a colder bottle. we ordered a few starters to share which were average. for our mains we ordered different things. calamari (some was not cleaned), butter chicken (tasted like very mild chicken stew) ribs (average), steak (medium even though medium rare was asked for). the butter chicken and ribs were not eaten and we asked for a doggy bag so we could give the food to the security guard at our time share. the food was thrown into a box and looked very unappetising. we did complain and were told the owners are not there much. although the view is stunning i would not recommend this restaurant. a very disappointing end to a wonderful holiday.

good, clean and friendly service. view is better during the day, or when sitting outside on a pleasant summers day. food was good and tasty. mediterranean mussels was different to the usual garlic/butter combination, and tasted good. a place to try!!
