good pizza, average prices, not the best service.. i enjoyed the food a lot, however i have not always had the best service here, although the pizza are resonably priced for the most part. would definetly recommend to someone looking for some good pizza.

this was our first visit here and we had good service and the food and ice cream was delicious. very pricey though!

next time i'll order a pizza. i decided to try out sal & mookies for the 1st time with my daughter. we liked the atmosphere it was family friendly, crowded but we managed. i decided to order the spaghetti & shrimp & my daughter went for the kids chicken parmigiana. i must've misread the description for my order because the spaghetti shrimp was not what i had imagined it was just garlic, butter & noodles w/ about 4 shrimp on top (literally) . my daughter wasnt to pleased with her order either the chicken was sort of tough. my waitress was nice & helpful she let me replace my order w/o a hassle. i went for the wings & salad which turned out to be a great choice. the mocktail was great, the ice cream & sundae were also. i guess next time i will just order a pizza but they didnt offer slices the day i was there.

they don't sell by the slice except during a very limited window. place is too packed to enjoy yourself.

wings and hummus. best wings i've ever had. especially with the gorgonzola dipping sauce. their hummus is superb as well. the only thing that i was not impressed with was the eggplant parmesan sub. not sure what was going on with that, but the skin was left on the eggplant and it was super tough. everything else i've tried has been on point.

have been back a couple of times. food is good. but, when i went there today to eat lunch (it was not busy) the waitress took our drink order, left, and never returned. there were only two other tables in her section so it wasn't like she was overwhelmed.

tired of waiting on her to get back to us, we left.

once again, bad service.

friends insisted on eating dinner here. past experience should have told me to skip this place. unfortunately it was the same experience. bad food, bad service and an overall bad experience. grease? you got it! slow service? yeah! right here! over-priced? yep! skip it.

overpriced average pizza with bad service. what else should you expect from the ego-driven owner? better pizza to be found around re corner at pizza shack!

pizza and stromboli excellence. if you love pizza, burgers, or dessert, eat at sal & mookie's. we first ate there last year, and enjoyed it. we were in jackson last week and decided to try it again. we were glad we did. between the three of us, we had a rockaway beach stromboli and a gambino pizza. i'm not usually a white sauce and chicken pizza kind-of-guy, but the rockaway beach stromboli (a folded over pizza) was fantastic. the gambino was great. and the pecan bar with ice cream was a delicious way to end the meal. i suppose we might try somewhere a little more upscale (although there's certainly nothing wrong with the ambience at sal & mookie's for a pizza place) next time we're in jackson, but it's going to have rave reviews to keep us from being drawn back to sal & mookies.

good food. great waiters. try the flatbread and hummus! if you want a good pizza that's not the chain style give it a try.

great pizza but too pricey.. the title says it all. you have to take out a loan to get a large pizza. no need to do that. there is a large profit margin on pizza to begin with. shame on you guys.

had the onasa pizza and portobello fries which were good, but then our philly cheese steak lacked a lot of steak! the waiter would not handle the issue but the manager took care of it!

pizza. absolutly the worst unedible crap any where. even the the bartender and wait perso n said omg the two times i have been here ,,soggy limp tasteless doughy crap ever. the wait staff are very good.

we went yesterday and it was our first time. unfortunately we probably won't be going back. i've heard good things about this place and was very excited to go but was very disappointed. ron was our server and he was awesome - definitely the bright spot of our visit! i don't drink, so i appreciated the mocktails! for a late lunch, i had the sandwich of the day and my boyfriend had the chicken marsala. he barely ate two bites before he said he was done, and chicken marsala is pretty tough to mess up. my sandwich was ok, nothing to write home about. we thought about sending it back but we have both worked in restaurants before and know what a hassle that can be. it seemed like a fun place but after that meal i doubt we will be returning.
