terrible service, mediocre food. my friends and i ate here on friday night and it was a terrible experience. the waiter didn't even come to our table for at least 10 minutes after we arrived. then, when he did come, rather than taking our drink order he went right into taking our food order. even though one of us clearly said she was ordering 2 appetizers as her dinner, her food came out right away -- before our drinks were even ready. it got cold while waiting for the rest of us to receive our entrees.
when the waiter finally did come to take our drink order, we waited so long for them that i had to go to the bar and inquire -- the bar was right behind us, we could see that they weren't getting them ready (note, we were upstairs where it's small and not very crowded.)
in the meantime, 3 servers got in a arguement right behind us about who "had" to take a larger table (about 10 people) that had just been sat -- there really was no need to do this in front of customers.
when the rest of our food arrived, it was a disappointment. one of us ordered the shrimp jambalya over rice -- it was served without rice and the food runner wasn't interested in hearing that this wasn't right. the crawfish creole was basically some broth (was their even any crawfish in there?) with rice. we waited for our waiter to come by and check on us, so we could get the corrected jambalya, but he never came up. i finally went downstairs to find him, and by then we were pretty annoyed and asked for the manager.
to his credit, the manager listened to what we had to say and didn't make a bad experience worse. i think they have a long way to go before people will have a pleasant/enjoyable dining experience here.
